The property is close to Freiburg and offers nice air conditioned rooms for a good price. We were in a bedroom on the top floor that has reduced headroom near the right side of the bed so caution is advisable for watching out for the ceiling. The air conditioning works very effectively. There is no refrigerator in the room but the staff is very willing to devote some space in the kitchen refrigerator for you. The helpfulness of the staff is a big plus here! And the parking is off-street and free.

Exceptional Stay at Colombi Hotel We had a truly wonderful stay at the Colombi Hotel and loved discovering the charm of the surrounding community. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for—nothing was too much trouble, and every need was met with genuine warmth. Do not skip the breakfast! It was absolutely delicious and surprisingly filling—we didn’t even need lunch, just a light early dinner. The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the train station and close to all the local sights. Everything about our experience made us want to return and stay a little longer next time.

The rooms were superbly renovated and the breakfast was delicious! Can’t say enough about the property manager, Moritz Herrmann. Mr. Herrmann was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. We were greeted daily by Mr. Herrmann and we look forward to our next visit during the warmer months so that we can experience the wineries in the area. Book a room at the property and you won’t regret it!

    In general this was a fairly good hotel. A little thought and minimal cost would make it so much better. Staff were helpful and friendly, the room was a decent size, the bathroom and shower were good. Breakfast was good. and the evening meals (at their restaurant (on the other side of the road) were good if expensive.

    The house location is in Umkirch, near Freiberg, Breisach, and Colmar, very convenient. The room is spacious, and the balcony has a nice view of the farmland, a quiet small town, we loved it. The host welcomed us with hospitality and introduced everything to us in detail and patiently. Recommend with 5-star!
