We walked the Camino for the 2nd time so Santiago will always hold a special place with us. There is nothing like finally arriving after hundreds of miles and finally walking into the square~ Was able to go to Mass and witness the Botafumeiro and did the tour of the roof. The church was huge and beautiful. I felt great to be in Santiago de Campostela after the Camino Walk. There was a restaurant that served all you can eat and they had good BBQ beef & pork. Santiago is a must-see, so no blablabla needed here. Just one observation: although there are lots of covered parkings in the downtown, most of them are very low, ranging 1.80 - 2.00 m. Beautiful city.
Beautiful city. The cathedral is magnificent and the museums are fascinating. The Pilgrim’s Museum is free and has great information on the history of the Camino de Santiago. The food in the city is varied and delicious. The locals are extremely friendly.Guest review byAnonymous
