Madrid is a truly amazing City with lots to do and see.
Madrid is a truly amazing City with lots to do and see. Has beautiful buildings and architecture with new and old coming together. We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back. Getting around Madrid is both easy and cheap using the metro. The world is your oyster when it comes to eating with all tastes and budgets catered for . We took in a tour of the city and a tour of the Real Madrid stadium followed by an open air concert in the botanical gardens.

People are friendly. Right now the airport is a chaos. I stayed in Madrid because my airline delay the luggage service two hours after we arrive! People at airport don’t care to find a solution. They send you to different places and no one knows anything. Worst experience ever.

Great. The old town Toledo, Avila and Segovia are must visit if you are interested in knowing the history of Spain. The Royal palace of Madrid was amazing. Prado Museum is a marvel of paintings, that you should keep half a day if you want to see all the paintings properly.

There is so very much to do in Madrid - it's a great city...
There is so very much to do in Madrid - it's a great city with many opportunities to involve yourself in its many offerings - whether shopping, sightseeing, visiting museums, taking day excursions from Madrid to Segovia, Toledo, and Malaga - yes Malaga via the Ave Bullet train. One word of caution - pace yourselves. It's very easy to just keep going and going until you find yourself short on energy - especially if you're one for the nightlife - which generally starts around 1AM and goes on all night long. Take advantage of the historical factor which Spain has to offer. Invest in a guided walking tour of the Palacio Real (Presidential Palace). Find out the true history behind the Plaza Mayor, spend an afternoon gorging yourself on tapas at the Mercado San Miguel, eat some Ron y Pasas ice cream, make a reservation at La Negra Tomasa Cuban restaurant located just a block off Puerta del Sol and if you go around nine pm or after be prepared to dance away the night to live Cuban Salsa, and last but certainly not least you must experience the exquisite tastes of La Chocolateria San Gines (located between the Sol and Plaza Mayor), for a deep luscious dipping dark chocolate and churros. I forgot - people watching on the Gran Via is a hoot . . . . . take the promenade from the Mcdonald's at Gran Via down to Sol - you won't regret it.

In Madrid a lot of things are within walking distance so it’s about a 20 minute walk into the city centre. Uber’s are also relatively cheap so we either walked places or got an Uber. We checked-in at 11:30pm roughly and the process was very simple with clear instructions provided by the hotel.
