La Terrasse de Verchaix
We have a wonderful spacious south facing apartment with uninterrupted views over the valley towards the mountinas of the Giffre Valley. The apartment is larger than most 3 bedroom properties, with all rooms being en-suite, and a massive 40 metre square terrace with views of the village with stylish terrace furniture. The property is convieniently located 4 km from the nearest supermarket, and 5km from the pretty village of Samoens. The Grand Massif ski area, 265km of piste, is the fourth largest in France and offers great skiing for all abilities. There is also cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice-skating for a wide selection of winter sports, and in the summer the list of activities is endless: road biking, mountain biking, tennis, swimming, yoga, pilates, hiking, climbing, pony trekking, river rafting......the list goes on!
In our free time we love to ski and cycle, and travel whenever we can.
Verchaix is a pretty village at an elevation of 800 metres south facing with views over the mountains and up and down the valley. It is in an excellent location due to it's proximity to Geneva airport (1 hours drive), 1 hour from Lake Annecy, and 50 minutes from Chamonix Mont Blanc. At the top of Verchaix, a 2.5km uphill walk, there are stunning views of Mont Blanc, you can continue way up through the tress and glades to the top of the Col du Joux Plane (about 5 hours hike), where you will find the road linking Samoens and Morzine. We have plenty of maps and guides and a wealth of knowledge to help you to the most from your stay with us.
