Interesting, picturesque village - easy to navigate on foot.
Interesting, picturesque village - easy to navigate on foot. Great night market/concert and village markets. We would recommend having a car to visit the surrounding area. A reasonable number of restaurants and cafes.

I like the hotel a lot.
I like the hotel a lot. The owner is very friendly and the dinner is so extravagant and home made. It is not meant to be a Michelin half star etc but it is home cooking and fresh. I had squid filing with Arroz which is a local dish. Next day a mixed stew dish with vegetables and some meat cooked very well. Some people who want warmer place in winter may be disturbed as rooms are a bit colder. I love it as I like fresh and a bit cold.

Esparaza is well placed to be the centre of the area.
Esparaza is well placed to be the centre of the area. The River Aude runs along the valleys which then rise to some very lovely hills which offer some great views from any of the Castles you wish to visit. Lovely Patisseries, supermarkets and tourist things to get into. Would recommend a visit to the south of France.KevinIreland
