Architect Colin Glennie designed the Paradix holiday apartments, which were created from restored outbuildings grouped around the stunning maison de maître. Your host, Susanna Glennie-Marti, will welcome you to Paradix.

Property info

Paradix is a holiday oasis situated between Béziers (10 km) and Narbonne (15 km), and 20 minutes from the Mediterranean coast. It's the perfect place for peace and relaxation. Four generously planned and comfortably furnished two-storey apartments are available to rent, with secure parking for everyone. Each apartment has a living room and kitchen downstairs, with bedroom(s) and bathroom above, and a private patio-garden. The apartments are set in beautiful gardens full of olive, eucalyptus, fig and plane trees, offering plenty of shady spots to sit with a drink or a book. Feel free to stroll among lavender bushes, roses and oleander; and to pick rosemary, thyme, sage, basil and mint to flavour your meals. Enjoy swimming and relaxing in the large chlorine-free pool. Paradix has been awarded four stars by Hérault Tourisme and has been selected by Sawday's as 'a special place to stay'. More information can be found on our website at glennieauparadix dot com. Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday in high season, with a minimum stay of 7 nights. Shorter stays are available at other times.

Neighborhood info

Paradix is located in Nissan les Ensérune, a lively village in the Hérault with around 3,000 inhabitants. Shops — including baker, newsagent and chemist — as well as restaurants, bars and a bank, are all within walking distance. A thriving market operates in the village three days a week. From Nissan you can visit the Canal du Midi; a number of Cathar castles; historical towns and cities such as Béziers, Narbonne, Pézenas, Montpellier, Perpignan and Carcassonne; and a wealth of sandy Mediterranean beaches. You'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of local wine, seafood and other gastronomic delights. Or indulge in sports such as cycling, sailing, walking, horse riding, tennis, water skiing, wind-surfing, golf and other activities nearby.
