Breakfast is just correct but service is terrible. They often forgot to bring what requested and every time no one is caring…you need to call for the attention. It’s a zero in a supposed five stars hotel.

Founded by the Phocaeans in 600 B.C., the long history of Marseille has produced an interesting and dynamic port-side city bursting with cultural diversity. Watch the fishermen sell their catch by auction at Vieux Harbour or cruise along the Corniche roads with views of the Calanques, dramatic rocky inlets to the sea.
The le Cours Julien and la Plaine areas provide a trendy hangout and every Thursday and Saturday morning the Plaine market offers its various wares. This is the area to buy a novel from a hip bookshop or watch your kids in one of the playgrounds.

If a culture packed vacation is on the agenda, the Musée d'Archéologie Méditerranéenne, Notre Dame de la Garde and Palais Longchamp won’t disappoint. I felt insecured whole the time since on first day upon our arrival we were robbed. The police is clueless. Sure, they will help you draft the report but that's it and good luck claiming insurance on your stolen items. There are pawn shops about every 5 meters selling mobile phones, tablets etc. as if there such demand for electronics in Marseille. We witnessed few robberies during our stay which is quite shocking for the fact we've been only 2 nights in Marseille. We noticed the immigrants (they don't speak French) are approaching to you at a almost touching distance - ALL THE TIME - not missing any opportunity to steal from you, whether it be the zebra crossing, at the harbour, and so on. Later we found out that Marseille is the second most dangerous city in Europe, we can count ourself lucky, to leave that stinky place physically unscathed.
NEVER EVER going back there!!!!!!!!!! Go to Italy or Spain, not saying that there is no pickpocketings but surely feels more safer than Marseille.

We weren't impressed with the city; unfortunately, many places are neglected and dirty, with a significant number of people sleeping on the streets. We felt rather unsafe. The landmarks are impressive; however, the overall surroundings are not as charming.

Marseille is a beautiful city, if a little scruffy and rundown. It is fairly easy to get around although the main station is difficult to access. Most places are walkable but I would recommend using the Tourist train to access the Notre Dame de la Garde.
There are some stunning modern museums but several were partially closed whilst I was there. I would particularly recommend the Cosquer museum with its stunning recreation of the Cosquer cave and its 30,000 year old art. (Tip - buy an advance ticket or turn up early to avoid queuing).
There are plenty of restaurants and bars lining the Old Port, with seafood an obvious mainstay - the bouillabaisse is excellent!

Marseille is a wonderful French city with many sights and history. It is good to visit the main churches, the palace and the museums in it - Notre Dame de la Garde, Marseille Cathedral, Palais Longchamp, . There are many well-preserved architectural monuments, the old town, the natural history museum, the port, etc. Around the harbor there are many restaurants, some of which you can come across wonderful fish delicacies, such as Bouillabaisse and others.
The city cannot boast of enviable cleanliness, as well as the discipline of motor vehicle drivers and pedestrians.

Great city with lots of interesting areas.
Great city with lots of interesting areas. Although it felt 'edgy' with a lot of (often attractive) graffiti etc, it felt safe. People were kind and polite. It certainly did not live up to its dangerous, seedy, rough reputation. It is cultured, artistic and friendly. Great food and a large variety of unique quarters. We will be back.
The apartment is located in a vibrant area of Marseille, in a walking distance from the Vieux Port. Being located in an old building, the elevator is nicely small - quite an experience. We enjoyed the facilities and had everything we needed in the apartment.
The hosts were fantastic and very supportive with the check-in and check-out instructions.
A perfect choice both for work and holiday purposes, with shops and restaurants around.
An excellent spot to start exploring Marseille with all its facettes.
The hotel is new and central close to the Vieux Port and the tourist area of Marseille. Nice welcome from the receptionist.
Perfect for a few nights. The room was comfortable and very nicely decorated with a Large bed. A great bathroom with many towels and robes and a spacious shower.
Perfect WIFI - The breakfast is included but we didn't have the time to enjoy it.
Would be back for a night or 2 - not for a long sejour.
This was a beautiful apartment right in the centre of Marseille at the Vieux Port. As the name suggests it situation just opposite the opera house so their are amazing views.
The apartment is large and spacious with plenty of room for our family of 3 with a great sized double bed room and a double bed suite in the open plan living room kitchen diner.
It was very clean, beautifully furnished and the host was amazing.
I chose the hotel mainly for the central location. I knew that I will be out also during the night and Marseille is not the safest place in France. Let's start with the positive things:
Staff was friendly, internet wifi was working well and the best thing was the breakfast. I was quite surprised that they even offered fresh pressed orange juice. The choice was really good for the level of the hotel!
Apartment was well situated for exploring Marseille on foot - the Vieux Port, Palais Longchamp and the Basilica of Notre Dame de la Grande all well worth seeing. We felt safe in the area surrounding the apartment, and it was quiet at night. The rooms were good sizes, clean and well decorated, and the bathroom was lovely with a brilliant shower. The sofa bed was very comfy.
Breakfast that is included in the room rates was very good. Easy check in and out, big rooms, 7 mins walk from back area of train station, many bus stops at the nearby round about. Vieux Port, La Major and many restaurants are walking distance. Vending machine inside hotel, all drinks 1 euro, great Japanese bathroom almost like I was back in Tokyo... Love it!!!!
A lovely apartment, near Vieux port - centrum, and exactly like in photos. We loved to stay here, we found all we need for our sejur. Host lady is a very gentile person, she responded to all our questions. The apartment was very clean and the bed was comfy, i sleeped like a child ha ha ☺️. It was a great and beautiful sejur for us. I recommend 100% to everyone.
This hotel has an excellent location at the old port. Rooms are standard and clean. The best of this hotel is the rooftop bar with a splendid view of the old port and the church Notre Dame de la Garde on the hill top. Many restaurants are around the corner. The metro is at the old port with a quick connection to the Station Marseille Saint Charles.
I stayed at this hotel and in Marseille just for the night coming from somewhere by plane and then taking the train in the morning to another city in Southern France. For this purpose, it was a perfect stay (comfy bed, quiet, train station opposite the hotel, good breakfast). Cannot really evaluate anything else though unfortunately.
The property is very clean with all utilities. It is walkable distance from the Cannebiere, the Vieux Port and Marseille Saint Charles station. The hosts left a really nice message in the flat on the black board for us. It was personnalised and had all the details about wifi etc..
Friendly staff, excellent location by the Vieux Port. I don't think you can find a closer hotel. We stayed at the hotel for one night at the end of out road trip before going to the airport so it was a good choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok.
The apartment was nice, clean, well equipped and in a great location, 10 min from Palais du Pharo and 20 min near Vieux Port by foot. The owner was helpful and polite. He left me coffe and biscuits for all my stay. Nice and calm neighborhood too.
Been here 7 years ago, due to the location which is 3 minutes of work from the Vieux port metro station, so with the same reason I am choosing this hotel again due to its location. The room is very good, and there are convenient store nearby.
Outstanding. Immaculate, comfortable, quiet, superb breakfast, and 5 min from métro to train station, less than 10 to Vieux Port. The special price on Booking.com (requiring prepayment) was well worth having to pay early.
