I stayed for studying abroad since June 17 and returned home August 7. It still felt short, however, I went to other countries on the weekends. If you truly want to experience Paris, I'd say you have to be there at least 2 weeks, wake up early, and see at least half of the districts fully. Paris is drowning in Tourists. I will never go in the summer again. I only went this year to see Waterlilies in Giverny but there were hardly any. The house was so full of people we didn't stay to tour it. We had been to the Louvre before so opted to skip it this year due to the crowds. I knew many restaurants would close in August, but was surprised at the many lttle stores, delis and bakeries that closed also. Seeing the Eiffel Tower all lit up and sparkling on our last night was a lovely way to finalise our trip. Paris was alot better than the last time I went to the city. I definitely recommend planning your trip as much as possible especially when it comes to travel. I would suggest in getting the Navigo pass if you are staying for 3-4 days and if you are confident in using an e-bike/scooter to get Lime/Bolt or Hopp app on your phone as it's great to set up and start using right away rather walking between sightseeing places. If you are going in peak times during summer/valentines or christmas, to book the tours (Louvre/Eiffel Tour) prior to coming to paris. The food is generally very good but be aware food near the tourist spots will be more expensive and less quality. You will have a great experience as the city is easy to move around and felt alot safer than my previous visits.Guest review byJoshIreland
