Farneholm Annex Cottage, hotel in Beadnell

Set in Beadnell in the Northumberland Region, this holiday home is 8 km from Bamburgh. Guests benefit from free WiFi and private parking available on site.

The annex was very comfortable and warm. It was easy to access and everything was provided. Bed was extremely comfortable (and I struggle with strange beds). Wifi and T.V. reception was excellent and the area was very quite. View was to die for, this was the main reason I booked this property. The property was very convenient for the Farne island which was the main reason for our trip to Northumberland. Would recommend the local pub The Craster Arms, good food and service.

Beadnell is a lovely friendly place.

Beadnell is a lovely friendly place. Very laid back, quiet and with great places to eat and drink. We ate at the Craster Arms. Food is excellent but be sure to get there early as it’s mega busy. Staff are very friendly. If you like walking it’s worth going to Seahouses, about 3 miles and you can catch the bus back. Nothing to dislike, would go back if ever that way again.

Beadnell is now a mainly tourist village, with a lot of new houses and more being built. But this is because it is such a good location, right next to the sea with the coast path, the wide and long sandy beaches and tiny old harbour. for a small places there are quite a few places to eat, and a shop. It is very popular with people with dogs, and kite-surfers!

Beadnell is a busy destination during the summer.

Beadnell is a busy destination during the summer. It has good beaches, several coffee shops and restaurants to suit most people. The Courtyard Coffee shop was particularly handy for a quick bite to eat. A Fish and Chip van is parked near the village shop but you would need to check opening times. Very good local village shop which is clean and well stocked. Food, Gifts cards, Ice cream, drinks, newspapers magazines wine and beer. You can walk between the village and the harbour. There is a caravan park and several chalets to rent out. There are a number of places to park but at weekends and peak times it’s a little more tricky. A short car ride away is Seahouses and in addition Beadnell is a good base to explore the Northumbrian coast.

We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our hosts. So many little touches that made the cottage so homey and warm. Bright decor, lovely little ornaments plus the addition of hand-wash, kitchen towel, toilet rolls, condiments which were totally unexpected but gratefully received. The kitchen was well equipped and cottage well furnished. Beadnell Tower was a short walk and a great place to eat.
