NEW WIFI INSTALLED! Enjoy a stay in our almost 300 year old stone cottage in the Forest of Dean. Large garden and graveled patio, 3 beds, very cosy, flagstone floor, original timbers and stone walls, dog friendly (poo bags, bowls, towels and shampoo), 6th fold out bed under the single. Enjoy snuggling into our slipper socks during your stay. Advisable that the cottage may not be suitable for young children and people of impaired mobility as the stairs are wooden and very steep. Please note, Forest Road is a steep hill, please park in gear and with your hand brake on fully. You can also park on any of the surrounding roads. Access is via a narrow lane, see photo of my car.... you can unload on the area in the photo with a yellow grid however please ensure you park up immediately back on the road as access is needed by the neighbours at all times. The log burner is not to be used. There is a 20 one off charge if you wish to bring dogs with you, this is to cover the extra cleaning. Please see photo of leaflets with local attractions and places of interest. There is so much to do around this area. I.e Go Ape, Cycling and walking trails, golf, adventure areas, canoeing, Littledean Jail, mazes, archery etc etc etc. There are 2 folders with details in, please help yourself to any leaflets. (See photo)
This is a brand new property for us. We have been a host at another property of ours for over 12 months and love providing a really cosy, clean and safe place for guests to call their temporary home. I am always on the end of the phone and I am not too far away (half an hour). Please see photos for our previous reviews.
The cottage is set back from Commercial Street behind other houses, in its own little lane. The neighbours are lovely however you will hardly see anyone. Even though the cottage is in the middle of the small town, you will not have any noise disturbance throughout your stay. It is surprisingly quiet.
