The Ox House is a converted milking parlor that has been lovingly restored to a high-quality. Self-contained with a large kitchen, dining area, lounge with log burner and comfortable beds, you couldn't possibly wish for more. We offer a variety of amenities to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. We are a family run smallholding with alpacas, dogs, sheep, and chickens and are able to offer advice, guides and ideas on where to go and what to see during your stay in Somerset.
We are available at your request to answer any questions or advise on good places to go and things to see to suit your requirements.
The village of Chewton Mendip has a lovely village pub that offers local beer and great food. There is also a coffee shop where you can have lunch or buy a few essentials. We are only 6 miles from the town of Wells where you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There is a bus stop on the main road outside of the property but there are no pavements on this fast road, so care must be taken.
