On the Southern edge of The Yorkshire Dales National Park an excellent base for exploring the area. Take a walk up Beamsley Beacon with views across the valley. Only a few minutes from Bolton Abbey where you can enjoy walks, ruins of an Augustinian Priory, a picnic by the River Wharfe whilst taking in the riverside scenery and a ride on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway. A 15 minute drive West the thriving market town of Skipton, with street market three days a week. The impressive Skipton Castle standing proud at the top of the high street or book a trip on the Skipton Canal to see the gorgeous scenery from a different angle. Only a 20 minute drive to the spa town of Harrogate where you can experience the Turkish Baths. You can follow this with a trip to the World famous Bettys Tearoom for a traditional afternoon tea and wander round exclusive shops, cafes and restaurants. On the edge of the town is RHS Harlow Carr a delight whatever the season.
