Huddersfield is a down to earth, compact Yorkshire town with friendly people and is a haven for lovers of bargains and budget shopping There are plenty of good eateries in the town centre - Merrie England fish and chips and Eden Garden cafe were both excellent.

A lovely town for summer travels.
A lovely town for summer travels. Plenty of variety of shops and restaurants/cafes, a stunning park with play areas, tennis/football/basketball courts and a skate park. A brilliant leisure centre and a shopping centre in town with a cinema/bowling etc. Not too far of a drive from Manchester and Leeds so there really is so much to do!

A largely unknown gem of a town, which is surrounded by outstanding countryside, and has lots of built heritage and history to discover. There are also good restaurants in the town centre and surrounding areas, serving a wide range of cuisines.

The Parish Church is worth a brief visit.
The art gallery shut.
The main market was shut.
We took the X1 to Halifax after a couple of hours of not finding anything interesting to do.

The Edgerton apartment is absolutely gorgeous, spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, spacious, huge bedrooms, well equipped stunning kitchen/diner & living area, all very well appointed. The owner even provided lovely makeup brushes, hair bands & other beauty accessories in each room. I would definitely stay here again!

Very friendly town, came up to watch football and visit family.
Huddersfields football ground is well run, is involved in the local community, has good facilities and isnt too far from the station or the town.
There is normally good transport around the city but currently the town is having to cope with a lot of adjystment due to engineering and restructure of the railways. Hampers things a bit but with good planning you can still do the touristy bit, just needs a bit of investigating before you travel!

I was just in Huddersfield for one night to meet up with a friend and this place suited me perfectly.
What I most appreciated was being allowed to check in early. Very early. Before midday. No fuss at all.
The hotel was quiet and the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
Incredible shower pressure. When you travel as much as I do things like that really matter.
Very close to the city centre.

Really good, Italian restaurant, adjoining the hotel, also a bus stop is just outside the hotel, which will get you to the town centre,in about,10 minutes, and just a short walk up the road, there is a very good, Indian restaurant,if you opt for the breakfast at the,Briar Court, you will not be disappointed,

This place is my favourite in whole Huddersfield as it’s a full whole house, i have my own privacy and feels like im at home! Very near to town centre, but still quiet area! Highly recommended
