Town was short of decent shops far end just charity shops and cheap household goods lots of vape shops. Stood outside weatherspoons waiting for a cab and had to.move as the fumes from drugs being smoked was dreadful drunks druggies and road works all over the place I came back as I was born in Huddersfield to make memories but sadly I left early no bread shops or butchers except on shops very poor I won't go back again so disappointed no where to get a decent full meal at lunch time just cafes serving sarnies or jackets only weatherspoons but did not want to eat with all the drinks and druggies outside

I am originally from Huddersfield and visit quite often as I still have family and friends still living here, my favourite places are Castle hill for the view and Greenhead Park where I spent a lot of time as a child. I am disappointed that the Merrie England coffee shops have been closed down and the town centre like many other town centres is suffering from on line shopping and industrial estates with many of the big shops moving out of town.

Huddersfield is a down to earth, compact Yorkshire town with friendly people and is a haven for lovers of bargains and budget shopping There are plenty of good eateries in the town centre - Merrie England fish and chips and Eden Garden cafe were both excellent.

A lovely town for summer travels.
A lovely town for summer travels. Plenty of variety of shops and restaurants/cafes, a stunning park with play areas, tennis/football/basketball courts and a skate park. A brilliant leisure centre and a shopping centre in town with a cinema/bowling etc. Not too far of a drive from Manchester and Leeds so there really is so much to do!

A largely unknown gem of a town, which is surrounded by outstanding countryside, and has lots of built heritage and history to discover. There are also good restaurants in the town centre and surrounding areas, serving a wide range of cuisines.

The Parish Church is worth a brief visit.
The art gallery shut.
The main market was shut.
We took the X1 to Halifax after a couple of hours of not finding anything interesting to do.

I can earnestly say that Cambridge Hotel Huddersfield is absolutely perfect for visits that simply need a good place to sleep without luxurious bells and whistles. Comfortable room, hot shower with good pressure, clean bed, and filling breakfast. Add to that free carpark, less than 10min walk to town centre, and friendly staff, and I really cannot beat the experience, especially for the price. Highly recommended, and many thanks for a pleasant stay.

Located minutes from Huddersfield town centre and Lidl's supermarket. We were able to get to where we needed in next to no time. The apartment was spacious, clean and inviting. All utensils & equipment were working perfectly. Bedrooms were comfy and beds enabled a good nights kip! Shower has excellent pressure. Overall, great stay and would highly recommend.

The check-in process very smooth I was very happy with the stay and the support is very helpful if I need to ask about anything I get quick replies and it gets sorted quickly, the rooms were clean and the beds were comfy would definitely recommend. Definitely my go to stay everytime when visiting Huddersfield

Everything! it's in a great location on the edge of Huddersfield with regular buses in and out of Huddersfield.
Very friendly staff, a great room with a tv and a fridge! In a lovely old house/hotel.
There's a breakfast option also but I didn't partake in it.
