It was very peaceful. A comfortable, spacious room with a comfortable bed. Lighting in the bathroom was good. If tea bags and biscuits were used they were replaced. The hosts were courteous and accommodating. The food was very tasty.

Andover has pubs and bars, supermarkets and plenty of places to eat. There are enjoyable walks up to the Ladies Walk where you can see across the town and also to Charlton Lakes where there is a play area for kids.
Andover is also close to Basingstoke, Salisbury and Winchester.

It is a quiet town very convenient for visiting Winchester, Salisbury, the New Forest, Newbury, Whitchurch and Southampton. Anton Lakes local Natural Reserve gives a good opportunity to relax sitting on a bench and watching wildlife birds. Don't forget to visit the local Iron Age history museum and beautiful St.Mary's church.

A quiet town, without much to see. The Anton River canal near the old mill and the Anton lakes are the only places worth visiting, the river has ducks and swans as well. The town has supermarkets, and a train station and the distances are relatively easy to walk, even with luggage.

We visited Andover as were were going to the BSB round at Thruxton. There are lots of place to eat in Andover we opted for an Indian called Chilies, it was empty so were a bit worried but it is one of the best curries we have had in a while. Staff very polite and attentive. Can thoroughly recommend it.
The hotel, Jack Russell Fox, which is a Wetherspoons pub chain was excellent. Staff and food were what you would expect. The rooms were clean and perfectly adequate.
It was a self check in and the property were very prompt to assist us with all the queries. The location is at the heart of Andover and there are many restaurants & bars around. With a large pedestrian shopping street. Paid parking is also nearby. We stayed here because of our trip to the Peppa Pig park , and we loved our stay. Would repeat without hesitation.
During a busy weekend it was a quiet evening in a tranquil location. Very picturesque village with quiet life floating along. Beautiful river flowing in front of the hotel was perfect backdrop for a quiet drink. Country lanes with thatch cottage / houses was perfect for an evening stroll after very nice food. Breakfast was substantial and well presented
The room was so much nicer then expected. Absolutely immaculate with a great shower. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities that was replenished each day. The staff at reception and at the bar where very friendly and professional. For the price I couldn't really fault it and I will be returning next time I'm in Andover.
The staff are the best thing about this pub-hotel: very welcoming, very helpful throughout my stay. I was able to take my bike up to my room, which I really appreciated, and I was almost late for breakfast but they were happy to serve me all the same. Decent beer and good food available in the evening. Nice pub in a good location.
Great hotel in every way. Spotlessly clean, private car park. All staff extremely friendly. Very comfortable room with all amenities. Really good breakfast, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries plus hot food, really excellent. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Great value.
Hotel was a bit quirky, old, rooms we're big, bed comfy ,bathroom big plenty of hotwater, tea and coffee in room, breakfast included, hot breakfast was to order, cereals toast help yourself, plenty to eat, staff great, ideal location as we we're there for a funeral
I can not comment about the breakfast, because I was not informed of it(unavailability) when I was making my booking and only informed of it after I had booked.I could not changed my mind due to all other establishment in Andover being fully booked.
I've stayed at the Hawk inn each Monday for the past 3 weeks and I intend to keep booking as I believe I have found a little gem. Stephan and staff are great and are always happy, I can not recommend this hotel enough.
Great location, really comfortable bed, lots of space, and the room was clean and airy with lots of character... so much nicer than staying in a hotel! A tasty breakfast with locally sourced products.
I like the fact that the hotel was secluded and quite. The room was clean.
The staff were very polite and helpful.
Would definitely visit again.
The town of Andover was super cute and friendly.
Comfortable bed in a large room, and the place served my purpose for this weekend.
Centrally placed in Andover and easy to get to restaurants and shops.
A good selection of Beers at the bar.

The price, the location, the staff, could not have found a better place to stay, after years of traveling to this part of Hampshire this is the best hotel we have stayed at.
Very charming historic building, with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is located in the heart of the town, the hotel’s bar is quite cool too.
The hotel is very cosy and warm if you’re traveling in winter. The location is absolutely perfect and the staff were lovely when we checked in and out.
