•An immaculately presented cottage full of charm and character. •Situated in the Derwent Valley, perfectly located for visiting the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District. •Makeney Hall Hotel wedding venue is 1/2 mile away. •Milford is only a 20 min drive from Matlock and 15 min drive from Derby City. •Free on road parking outside the cottage. •Beautiful location for visitors and guests.
Hi, I'm Steve . I pride myself on providing a clean and homely Holiday cottage for travellers looking to explore the Derwent Valley and nearby Derbyshire Dales and Peak District. My home is your home - welcome! I won't be around in person however my property management team (and I) will be available 24/7 via Airbnb, email, or phone to provide any assistance you may need.
Supermarkets: Morrisons and ALDI Supermarkets are in Belper just 1.5 miles away. Morrisons has a filling station and cash machine on site. Opening Times for both: Monday: 8am–10pm Tuesday: 8am–10pm Wednesday: 8am–10pm Thursday:8am–10pm Friday: 8am–10pm Saturday: 8am–10pm Sunday: 10am–4pm Places to eat and drink: Palfrey Restaurant 2-minute walk. The King William Pub 4-minute walk. Elephant and Peacock Gastro Pub 7-minute walk. Holy Bush Inn11-minute walk. Local attractions: Milford is located on the gateway to the dales and the Peak District. There are many beautiful places to visit within 30 mins drive. Belper Town Centre and Belper Water Gardens are a few minutes drive, Matlock and Matlock Baths are 20 mins and Crich Tram Museum is 18 min drive from the cottage. Parking: No allocated parking space, please enter Hopping Hill from the Belper side, the local residents all park the cars the same way, as the road is narrow and it helps with traffic flow. Buses: Derby to Belper Bus, Hopping Hill Bus Stop 2-minutes walk. Trains: Duffield Train Station 1.5 miles.
