New to Booking .com this is an excellently presented, luxury, two bedroom penthouse on Newcastle's Quayside. It’s arranged over two floors with a roof garden, free parking for two cars, and an elevator for ease of access. With fantastic views of the river and bridges from the roof garden and living room, and a short walk to the bars and restaurants of the Quayside, you will be able to enjoy resting and relaxing in comfort while watching the world go by. We look forward to your visit. I'm a staff and management trainer, and lover of both Newcastle and the Lake District. We love our apartment but spend a fair bit of time away for work and walking/struggling up mountains - so we like to share our space and afford our mortgage. My husband and I both went to university in Newcastle and know the city well, so just ask if you need help or recommendations. I like to kid myself that I'm an international traveller but I actually do most of my travelling looking at guide books on my comfy settee. Nowhere else seems as good as Newcastle and The Lake District but I'm happy to admit that I'm probably biased! We love pubs, bars, restaurants, walking, watching thrillers, reading, podcasts and hanging around with our grown up children. Ask anything. I'm here to help.
Newcastle is known the world over as the North East's cultural, shopping and dining capital. The famous Quayside area is the perfect place for fine dining, bars, cafes and culture courtesy of The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, The Sage Gateshead, and The Millennium Bridge joining the two banks. Also don't forget the local Sunday market. Walk the other way and you're in the Ouseburn Valley with its funky vibe, cafes and bars. The city has great shopping and arts facilities, as well as museums and art galleries. The Theatre Royal is a stunning building with many interesting theatrical productions, ballets, operas and pantomimes at Christmas. The historical background of Newcastle marks it as one of the most important cities in the UK. Once a Roman garrison town it was the site of a fortress and to this day has parts of Hadrian's Wall still evident through the city centre. Starting from Wallsend, Hadrian's Wall sweeps across the landscape to the west coast. World-class culture, vibrant nightlife, award-winning dining, inspiring heritage, fantastic shopping and acclaimed architecture are all linked here! So many wonderful places to enjoy City, Countryside and Coast!
