A simply charming cottage, ideal for exploring The South Hams and Salcombe-Kingsbridge estuary, with its fabulous beaches and coastline nearby. Full of character, our former family home has all the essentials you need as a base for a great value holiday in this stunning area of outstanding natural beauty. From the cottage there are lovely walks around the village, along the estuary and in the gorgeous surrounding countryside. There are two double bedrooms, one of which has a connecting room with a single bed and a travel cot. Bedroom 2 has the option to be two singles or a king size. There is parking for one large car, and on road parking in the village for any others. See plan and photo. Guests can check-in from 3pm and check-out is 10am. The village Pub the Globe Inn is only a short walk away, as is the village bakery and coffee shop, opposite the slipway at the head of the creek where you can launch boats and kayaks etc. There is one locked private storage room on the ground floor - see plan.
The Creek: With an abundance of wildlife and birdlife, the creek offers a picturesque walk or tranquil paddle. Please check the tide times before you go! The Globe Pub: You’ll get a warm welcome, great food and drink, just a 5 minute walk from the cottage! The outdoor seating area is perfect for a relaxing afternoon on a summer’s day. Swell Cafe: With its amazing pastries, pasties, sandwiches and coffee! They also sell local produce, wine, beer, ice-creams and home-made ready meals. Farm Shop: Springfield Farm Shop and cafe is a little gem! offering local butchery, fresh fruit & veg, cream teas, ice-creams, breakfasts and local produce. They also have a good selection of local ales, gin and ciders. The perfect spot to sit outside and enjoy the views of Frogmore Creek. SPAR supermarket There is a petrol station and Spar supermarket in East Charleton (2 min drive) which also sells Cook gourmet ready meals if you don’t fancy cooking. Play Park: Just a 5 minute walk from the cottage, tucked behind the Village Hall is a small play park - perfect for wearing little ones out before bedtime!
