The property definitely had the ‘wow’ factor. It looked lovely in the photos, but when we arrived and it was decorated for Christmas, we were completely bowled over. The various lighting upstairs was modern and gave it atmosphere. It had everything you could possible need for a comfortable and relaxing stay in a luxurious setting. There were so many beautiful art objects to look at. Everything was high tech and high quality. The bedrooms and bathrooms were decorated to a high standard and the bed very comfortable. The outside space is well laid out with plenty of seating, but it was too cold and wet to take advantage of it. John and Maxine had gone out of their way to make us very welcome and were quick to answer messages. We hope to return next year.

The Granary is a newly built barn which overlooks open countryside. The ‘upside down’ layout enables the first floor to be open plan with two large bedrooms on the ground floor
