This cottage only opened in April 2017 and is one of my two self catering  traditional two bedroom  terraced cottages sleeping four on the banks of the Crinan Canal, Argyll which are ideal bases for walking, sailing, fishing and cycling along the nearby tow path towards Lochgilphead and the nearby woodland tracks. The ground floor in No8 comprises a fitted kitchen together with a dining area and a cosy open plan sitting room with an enclosed wood burning fire and views across the canal. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with claw foot bath and hand held shower. Both cottages are dog friendly and one well behaved small dog is allowed in the cottage living areas but only under supervision and by prior arrangement. Unlike other cottages in the area there is NO CHARGE FOR DOGS IN THESE COTTAGES. Please be sure to advise me in advance if you are bringing a dog to stay at the cottage and please note that their own bedding must be provided. Both cottages have free Broadband and Wi-fi (Fibre-optic). There is a table and chairs for dining out and watching boats sail by also a bike shed available in the lane at the rear of the property if required. Please note that my week runs from Saturday to Saturday and I do not take booking that overlap into the following week. Please contact me if you proposed booking is outwith these days

Many thanks for your interest in my property. Prices are based on the start date of your holiday and are for one week (Saturday to Saturday). The cottage is also available to rent for weekends (Sat-Mon) and midweek (Mon-Fri) out-with the peak periods by prior arrangement. Please contact me for prices. Entry is usually available after 4pm and departure is by 10am - these times can be changed if required.

The Crinan Canal offers wonderful scenery for fishing, canoeing, sailing, horse riding, walking and cycling, with many cycle tracks signposted throughout the glen and plenty of forests and hills nearby should you wish something more energetic. The nearby town of Lochgilphead has a variety shops, cafes restaurants, hospital/doctors surgery, a swimming pool, golf course and sports center. There is also a shop where bicycles can be hired. Boats can be chartered from Crinan harbour and there are wildlife safari trips around the islands where it is possible to see whales, porpoise, seals, many sea birds including golden and white-tailed eagles, and the spectacular Corryvreckan Whirlpools. A walk, cycle or drive from Crinan to Ardrishaig is 9 miles and provides you with the perfect opportunity to take in the stunning views of Mid Argyll and watch the boats sailing by.
