Amazing location and views. Nice touch with the milk and coffee etc. Host very responsive and great directions given, it would have been quite tricky to locate if not. The cottage was well kitted out and very spacious.

Sunny days spent admiring the scenery from the patio, hot tub (additional charge), or grabbing some shade in the secret garden. The enclosed private patio boasts a BBQ, pizza oven, and in the garden, a summerhouse, wildlife pond and further outdoor seating area. Inside it is well equipped with a log burner, fully equipped family kitchen including a utility with washing machine and tumble drier. The wood-beamed lounge has a cosy log burner, yet is still light and airy and overlooks a front patio with bistro seating. Set back with valley views, Crossways Cottage is situated within 10 mins walk of some great outdoors activities, pubs and eateries, and has easy access to Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye. Hiking, biking and river- and land-sports are in abundance here. From late spring, take one of the UK's last remaining hand ferries over to Yat Rock - a stunning viewpoint! Bike hire is within a few minutes walk, as is canoe and SUP hire, archery, climbing, crazy golf, butterfly zoo, maze and even axe throwing - you can even book a pottery session within the village. So much to do without having to drive anywhere if you choose!
Village-based surrounded by many traditional cottages. Riverside pubs, hand-pulled ferry, tourist boat trips, woodland and riverside walks, various watersports (SUP, canoeing) and outdoor pursuits (climbing, biking etc) available within walking distance. Various good food pubs and restaurants within walking distance too. There is a visitors centre in Symonds Yat with a butterfly zoo, crazy golf and maze. Bus service runs to Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye approx every 2 hours during working hours.
