We were there for the classic regatta and shanty festival was on at the same time so lots to do, even though weather not great. Maritime museum a must, interesting shops, lots of places to eat. Parking no problem if prepared to pay to avoid long walk even though was so busy. Lots of gardens and beaches to visit nearby and interesting ferry and boat trips

Falmouth is a vibrant place with plenty to see and do.
The town is full of interesting shops and small businesses.Lots of choice for places to eat.Its not far from the:lost garden of Heligan, and the Eden project.
Has its own Castle.Beautiful small sandy beaches. My only bug bears are its very busy in summer, quite expensive and has alot of fast moving traffic ,which is a bit scarey if your on foot.If you struggle with walking it is very hilly and lots of uneven narrow cobblestone pavement.

Falmouth is a pretty little harbour town, the surrounding area is breath taking and there are alot of little coves all along the coastline. I have often visited Cornwall and has never visited before.
I will most definately be visiting again, we stayed 2 nights one night at the Anacapri which is opposite the beach and the 2nd night in a little house over looking a nature reserve. Definately my favourite part of Cornwall. We went on the 1st June and it is noticeably more chilled than the northern Cornish Coast. HIGHLY recommend

A lovely coastal town with a busy redeveloped harbour and a National Maritime Museum facilities. Smaller cruise liners evidently also make stop overs at the town.Good eating options and even has a Trago Mills: a West country independent store found in several locations which stocks everything from phone leads to carpets! It also has a beligured yet working railway station as well as Gardens to explore. I ate an evening meal in the town at Fuel cafe: all locally sourced items of fish and chips, cheesecake and cream ( clotted, of course) with bottled local Rattler cider, followed with a Cornish coffee. Venue recommended.

Good informative free guide available from tourist information office - helped us choose activities that would make the most of our short stay.
Good choice of shops and restaurants. The sea/river is constantly present. The views across the water are amazing..
Recommend taking one of the ferries to the other side - St. Mawes, the gardens ........
The National Maritime museum is fascinating and warrants a second visit

The history walking tour of Falmouth with Tom was a highlight but the friendly people we met in every interaction we a very close second. A beautiful town, great scenery, some great pubs with lovely people. You can't ask for more.
Location excellent straight opposite Guillybeach, views awesome.staff very friendly. Indoor sauna pool and gym both very good and gym had everything ones needs. Hotel has just been sold and is going through a spruce up inside and the paintwork outside. A couple of coach parties of mainly tourists from other countries were there enjoying the views and touring around Britain. This is one of the oldest hotels in Falmouth and if you google it there is a lot of info about who has stayed there and I'm sure the new owners will do it proud.
We have stayed here 4 times now, as Alex is at Falmouth University and we use the hotel to stay when we either bring Alex down or take him home. The beds are super comfy and very big. Shower is always nice. I used the gym this time which was good. It had a wide variety of equipment and I was the only one in there. I always like the use of free tea/coffee using the machine in the foyer. We didn't have the breakfast this time as ate out but the breakfast is very nice as we've had this before. All in all, a nice stay.
It was in a beautiful setting, a hotel in a garden.. Hotel Meudon is a real gem, with it Ercol furniture, quirky, color schemes, real linen . It really isn’t like other hotels it’s special.
I found the staff incredibly friendly and helpful especially Phil and the young man who was on his break from University from the summer don’t know his name.
The live music on Saturday afternoon was a wonderful extra touch .
Food was delicious ( yes expensive, but every food bills gone up!!) and beautifully presented.
A wonderful property in a delightful location. Spotlessly clean, great facilities and well stocked with everything you might need during your stay. Fabulous views of Falmouth harbour (you can see 2 castles from the balcony!) safe and secure parking right next to the property. A quiet, peaceful location and just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Falmouth. I would stay here again in a heartbeat - no question! Many thanks.
Excellent location for access to town of Falmouth and to beach. On top of the hill so steepish routes in either direction..
Hotel had a very warm and welcoming feel with excellent staff and a super fresh cooked breakfast. Hotel spotless and in very good decorative order, parking in hotel car park which is not always the case in seaside resorts. Quiet location with plenty of taxis if you dont fancy walking
The location was excellent, overlooking a lovely bay. It was a really nice walk along the pavement either way, and the beach was only a few minutes away. Also a pretty easy 20 minute walk to Falmouth centre. The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were helpful. Loved the extra terraced area to sit outside and admire the bay view.
Good location in the Falmouth harbour, there's a Bar on the ground floor and a restaurant on the first floor. We visited the restaurant for a dinner which was OK (reservation is necessary). All major sites are close, parking is possible nearby in front of the Tesco Express overnight from 5pm until morning is free.
A true gem of a place! Genuinely nicer than any hotel/guest house that we have stayed in when in Falmouth. Spotlessly clean, super central Falmouth location and well appointed throughout. The hosts have thought of everything and we will definitely be back for further visits. Great value!
We had an amazing time in Falmouth. The hotel is located in the docs surrounded by a lot of hip bars and shops. The staff was very friendly and professional, our dinner and breakfast was absolutely magnificent with a great few at the harbour and the sea. Phenomenal!
All about location.. near sea and Falmouth town centre .. excellent
Parking available
Some aspects of “ luxury lodge “ appreciated..nice fitted kitchen, comfortable beds and linen, nice bathroom ,2 toilets
Potentially can use hotel facilities ( though we didnt)
Highcliffe was in an amazing location - really easy to walk to the centre of Falmouth or to the beaches in the other direction. The hotel was nicely decorated and the parking was good too with very clear communication on check in times etc too.
Midway between two stations and close to the harbor shops and cafes. I appreciated the ease of check-in as I was on foot and with a backpack. Falmouth is a fun town to visit, and I'd request this room again next time.
The hotel is well situated, and it has a lot of history. The breakfast and bar areas were lovely and have a terrific view. The staff at the restaurant/bar and pub were good; the reception area staff less so.
The hotel property was beautiful with a stunning location next to the river and just a few minutes walk from Falmouth town centre. The staff were very professional and attentive. Breakfast was excellent.
The room and shower were immaculately clean. Lovely view over to Falmouth and surrounding cove. Really nice family hotel. Superb breakfast and staff helpful and friendly at all times.
