The heated outdoor pool, how chilled out and helpful the staff were and how quiet the place is. The cleaning lady and the night man were super amazing, both went out of their way to help. Lovely views and a tasty breakfast. I would stay here again.

The Longboat Inn, hotel in Penzance

WE ARE NOT A DOG/PET FRIENDLY INN. In the market town of Penzance, The Longboat Inn is right opposite Penzance Train Station and a 5-minute walk from the beach.

The property was right next to the railway station which was ideal for me, the room I stayed in was very quiet plus the bed was very comfortable, the staff were very helpful and pleasant, I ordered a full Cornish breakfast and it was excellent looking forward to staying there again.

Penzance is a great place to stay as base if planning to explore the region. Plenty of restaurants and shops, just be mindful that in Cornwall everything closes early! Is nit crazy pretty as other towns BUT is very convenient and cheaper than most.

Penzance is a beautiful place in cornwall. Its a center place if you are travelling via public transportation. It has good connectivity to other famous places. There are trains and buses which connects to other cities. It also has a beach which is at walking distance from train station.

We stayed there for 2 nights before, and one night after, a week in the Scilly Isles. Would like to return for longer, Loved the prom and the walk to Newlyn, also the, very frequent, bus to Mousehole. There were other places we would have liked to go to, a sculpture park, St Michael's Mount, a National Trust Garden, but no time. Wide choice of eateries. We used the Taj Mahal and The Admiral Benbow, both excellent. There were bikes for hire (Beryl bikes) but they seemed to be very expensive. There is a Lidl which seemed to have the same prices as elsewhere, ditto the small Co-op.

DONT go to Penzance !!! i went for a walk around about 4pm I FELT SAFER WALKING AROUND ISTANBUL ON MY OWN. Penzance is full of drunkards and druggies Plenty of evidence of used needles ,even at 4 pm The bus station didn't even feel safe. PS.I live in Manchester not in a rural village The locals told me they only visited to use the supermarkets on the edge of town

A town full of history, and good places to eat - and easy reach of other places around Lands End and the Lizard. We ate at the Turks Head and the Bakehouse (both had great menus and were dog friendly) and our hotel. We also went to Falmouth and Marazion to eat. The Penlee Gallery was really interesting (current exhibition especially) but unfortunately not dog friendly so viewed in instalments. Park and Gardens enjoyable (we were mostly lucky with weather). We would have liked to go to the Scilly Isles but too full on the day we asked. Booking in advance needed!

Fabulous town, it’s got culture, it’s got architecture, it’s got a great rugby club, it’s got a busy harbour’ it’s got great cafes and restaurants, a stunning promenade and a lot more besides! Check out what’s going on at The Acorn Theatre which is brilliant. For a shortish trip see what’s on at The Minack. Best beaches are Sennen, Porthcurno, the Lelant ones, the St. Ives ones, Hayle Towans and Praa Sands. Perranuthnoe beach is good at low tide. Go to St Ives by train - the view from St Erth into St Ives is breathtaking !

I really enjoyed my two nights in Penzance, staying at the Estoril. The hotel is perfectly situated, less than 5 mins walk from the promenade and the main rail and bus station are only 800 m. Newlyn is also walkable - a mile - and the Land's End Coaster bus stops at the end of the road. The Morrab Tropical Gardens are also worth a visit. Lovely room and hotel with lots of character.

Situated in the lovely Penzance just minutes away from the bay, it’s the perfect spot for a few nights stay for those who wish to explore West Cornwall. The facilities were excellent and the breakfast was great too. Parking was possible in front of the house on the road and convenient to travel to/from. The beds were great and would definitely recommend others to stay here too.

Very friendly hotel. Felt welcome from the moment you arrive. All staff are an absolute asset to this establishment. Nothing was too much trouble. It doesn't matter what other restaurants are in Penzance. Use the restaurant within the hotel, the food is amazing from a very talented chef!!

The room itself was gorgeous and up to standard for a boutique hotel. I was stunning views of the sea on the first floor and was very cosy.
