Our “Kerloch” room, as well as all the rest of the cottage, is completely renovated and adapted to modern times. While the interior has that nice cosy feeling with all furniture, wall-and window coverings adapted to the history of the house. On the other hand you will enjoy the beautiful en-suite with walk-in shower, the nice wooden floors and perfectly modern heating system. Your private lounge area gives you already a quiet space to talk about the past day, make plans for the next one or simply look to a film or show on the TV with a huge choice of channels in your room. The comfortable bed with nice pillows and luxury bed linen will give you the perfect night to dream about all the nice things our beautiful Scotland has to offer. Sockets beside the bed have a USB connection and of course you have free WIFI in your room. In the room you will find all different coffee and tea facilities, microwave, toaster. And sorry our mini fridge doesn’t provide any alcohol but will sure find some refreshments and fresh milk in it, as well as space enough to cool whatever you bring with.
Hello, we are Gavin and Filip and together with our 2 pooches Guinness and Dolly we are happy to be your hosts at “Isla Rose Cottage”. We both lived in many places in Belgium, France, England and Scotland but we have now found our “forever” home in the beautiful Isla Rose Cottage from 1867, in lively Blairgowrie. The cottage, we lovingly restored ourselves, is presented in a mix with love for the history of it and open mind for the modern comfort. Here we open our doors and welcome you to a beautiful, cosy and very homely room. We only offer one suite but we can assure you that we give our guests all the attention they need without invading their privacy, because we know that it’s important to have that warm homely feeling. Everything has been renovated with consideration to the past of the cottage but also with attention to the present. It is well insulated and electricity is provided by solar panels with heating from an air source heath pump. And of course… we have a car charger for those guests who drive an EV- vehicle (at a super low rate). We are real dog lovers, but you have to ask Guinness and Dolly permission to bring your welbehaved doggie along
Perthshire is the centre of Scotland and is nicknamed “the big county”. But Perthshire is not only big in size but also in history, attractions, lochs, glens and Mountains. There’s something to explore for everyone. We will give you here some links that can help you making your mind up for what to do during your holiday. Whether it is for a relaxed holiday with some visits at historic places like…. Scone Palace, The hermitage, Faskally woods,Loch Leven castle, Drummond castle, Dunkeld Cathedral and the Blair Atholl waterwheel and of course the many excellent distilleries. It’s also the place where you can go and get active…. Lots of scenic routes for discovering on Bike or motor, beautiful hiking trails, great golf courses, fantastic fishing places, and in the winter you’re invited to our ski slopes. In and around Blairgowrie you find also the nice shopping places with the traditional local shops. The many pubs, tearooms and restaurants invite you from simple fish and chips to fancy dinners in historical places. There’s something for all pets to explore (as well as for humans too)
