Nice to find a hotel with single rooms. The location is on a corner of residential streets just out of the town centre, perfectly located for the Camel Trail. The staff were really helpful in locking away my bike. The restaurant has a nice elevated view over the west edge of the town and the Vietnamese food was excellent.

Worth asking about the museum tour- you get a reduced price if you are a hotel guest. The hotel building is stunning and has retained a lot of the original features. Great selection of food for breakfast and we appreciated the free minibar in the room. So cosy and comfortable, and the bathroom was extremely clean with lovely toiletries and a freestanding bath- which is not a detail you see very often! Oh, and how can I forget the complementary box of chocolates welcoming us to the room!

The hotel was well maintained, spotlessly clean, and the staff were lovely. Having irons, hairdryers, plenty of coffee in the room as well as decent shower and a great outdoor pool was brilliant. Food was great and there was plenty.
