Little Well is a charming cosy 'dog friendly' cabin in an idyllic and peaceful setting 2 miles from Slapton. Set in the beautiful South Hams countryside with views down to the sea, it's a great location for a family holiday or a relaxing getaway and dogs are welcomed too. Up to 2 dogs are welcome (please enquire if you have more). There are 2 acres of orchard and paddock for you to use and a private outside BBQ area for al fresco dining. We provide fresh homemade evening meals on request, catering for most diets with a range of delicious choices. The evening meals are very popular as an alternative to eating out, either on day of arrival or after long days on the beach or exploring. Let us know if you're interested in seeing the menu and we'll send it to you ahead of your stay. The sleeping platform in the second bedroom is great fun for children (stair gate available) and can be converted into a king size double for adults (N.B. restricted head height 135cm). There's a modern log burning stove for chillier evenings, Firestick TV, a large selection of board games, DVDs and books for those days when you just want to chill out and relax!
Little Well is located in the grounds of Alston Well and is a detached annex to the converted barn where the owners Katie & Nick live. We moved to the area in 2018 and absolutely love it here. We ensure that your stay is private and are on hand if you need us to help with any queries and provide advice on great places to eat, where to go and what's on in the area. This is a truly beautiful part of the world and we want you to enjoy it as much as we do, that's why we want your stay at Little Well to be perfect. So if you have any special requests please let us know and we'll do our best to arrange things to meet your needs.
Little Well is 5 minute drive from historic village of Slapton which has 2 pubs and an award winning community shop. Slapton's ancient narrow streets lead down to Slapton Ley Nature reserve, Slapton Sands (actually a shingle beach!) and the sea. There are lots of beaches and great walks including the SW Coastal path and local countryside, plus angling, paddle boarding and swimming at Slapton Sands. At Torcross you'll find more pubs and cafes and a fabulous Farm Shop with pop up shops and lots of local produce. Dartmouth, Totnes and Kingsbridge are all within 20mins drive with cinemas, supermarkets and all the amenities you would expect to find in these picturesque towns.
