Built around 1805, Little London Bed & Breakfast and Glamping pod is just 150 metres off the A4067 Brecon/Swansea Road. Our aim is to provide our guests with a secluded restful break and a base for exploring the stunning Brecon Beacons and other wonderful places nearby. Choose to stay in either River's Edge self catering glamping pod nestled away the house, or perhaps in one of our two luxurious rooms in the main house. Each room has unique touches -Riverside on the first floor has a stunning window seat where you can snuggle up and watch the river running by whereas Treetops has a beautiful view at Treetop height, two separate seating areas to enjoy the view or to sit and relax in as well as beautiful eaves which make the whole suite feel really special (but mind your head!). River's Edge pod is nestled on top of the river bank with a small private gravel courtyard with garden furniture and a BBQ for outdoor dining- when weather permits! In the summer the benches overlooking the river in front of the house provide the perfect spot to unwind and to listen to the river running by and the birds in the trees,
We reopened Little London Bed & Breakfast in May 2021 after purchasing it in 2018 and completing an extensive renovation programme. We have created just 2 luxury rooms with large en-suites and a self catering glamping pod - for a special break away for adults only. We are thoroughly enjoying running our bed and breakfast, meeting guests from near and far! Our glamping pod provided us with a lovely home whilst our house was being renovated, and it is a joy to now be able to share that with guests, it really is a hidden gem sat on top of the riverbank! There are so many beautiful walks in the nearby area and as we are so close to the Brecon Beacons there are stunning hill views just a very short distance away. Buzzards and kites can be seen and heard most days in our garden as well as the plethora of other birds,including woodpeckers, goldfinches and nuthatches. We spend our free time exploring, cycling around beautiful areas such as Usk reservoir or walking in the mountains or along the coast, we still have so much to explore, I doubt we shall ever run out of new places to discover!
Henrhyd Falls, the highest waterfalls in Southern Britain is just over 5 miles away. It was seen in the Batman film 'The Dark Knight Rises' - You can also walk behind the waterfall which varies from a gentle trickle to a roaring cascade! The Waterfall Walk starting North of Glynneath, about fifteen minutes drive away is another great place to explore. The National Show caves (Dan Yr Ogof) and Walters Arena are also just a few miles away.The Brecon Beacons National Park is just over a mile from us and includes many stunning landmarks including LLyn Y FanFach, a lake of approximately10 hectares on the northern margin of the Black Mountain and of course Pen Y fan is just 35 minutes drive away.You will certainly not run out of places to visit! There are plenty of lovely pubs offering varied and delicious menus , the Abercrave Inn is just over a mile away and offers great meals.
