I liked the friendly staff and the lovely breakfast. They were able to make a vegan and vegan/gluten free breakfast for us. It was lovely and the staff were very accommodating 😊

A very pleasant, historic market town. Many cafes and bars, pedestrianised areas. Surprisingly quiet on a weekend visit. Gateway to west Wales, great for use as a base to explore Tenby and other locations further west. Short drive to beach on an estuary, which had free parking.

Carmarthen is a nice little town, big enough to be interesting but not too big to explore. The remains of the Castle are easily accesible and there's a nice park on the outskirts. If you're travelling by train, the train station is a reasonable walk from the town centre.

Laugharne is an interesting little place, and not too far from the many fine Pembrokeshire beaches all along the coast from Saundersfoot to Freshwater West.

We saw the town on a Sunday. Vey quiet.
We saw the town on a Sunday. Vey quiet. However, there is more to the town than first glance (just), but too much retail - so much unoccupied. Given history, very little historic class on view. The hey day has gone, what now? Perfect accommodation, very close to town.

We were just there to attend interview at university and move on to another one. Very short stay. If you are attending university be sure to pay for parking! This wasn’t clearly displayed and I ended up with a fine
Breakfast was incredible with lovely views of the garden and surround landscape. The staff super friendly and most welcoming. It had parking and was in close enough proximity to the local town and botanical garden. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I'll definitely be coming back again when I'm next in Wales :)
The Spillmam is in the centre of Carmarthen, perfectly placed for the town.
The hotel is suberb and we visit Carmarthen 3-4 times a year, and never stay anywhere else due to the quality of the rooms, breakfast and of course the very warm welcome you get from the staff
Great location and fantastic hosts. A nice hotel to stay at, although we staying in one of the pods. We had breakfast both mornings we were there and the food was excellent. We would definitely consider coming back here again.
The hotel was well presented, the rooms clean and a good size. The staff were incredibly friendly and I could not fault the experience. When I return back to Carmarthen, I will not hesitate to stay here again
