it's hard to describe, the entire vibe was happy, good energy if you know what I mean. The hotel was old, but you can tell it was loved. That translated into things like proper china tea pots for an endless cup of tea at breakfast to breakfast cooked to order. The town was easily walkable, but it was hilly in places so bring a walking pole if you need one. Lots of alley ways to explore and the view from the castle over the river was nice. The light from the sunrise made for great photography too...

The family-run Boar's Head Hotel is an historic Coaching Inn, which dates back to the early 17th Century.

Keys were easily accessible at check in. The surrounding property is gorgeous and the accommodations exceeded our expectations! Hosts had thought of everything. Very comfortable. Well appointed kitchen. Very relaxing stay for 3 nights and would happily have stayed longer!

What an absolute gem! We stayed as a family (kids 9 and 14). A lovely quiet place with access to walks around the farm. The whole place was immaculately clean and really well equipped with everything you might need. Some family board games, super comfy beds, nice big soft towels, gorgeous landscapes! Sitting on the patio with my book and morning coffee watching the birds come for breakfast at the feeder and hearing the woodpecker and cows in the distance was lovely. I already want to come back!
