Newly renovated, friendly staff and large room. Our room had a large bathroom with claw-foot and air conditioning. We also enjoyed their bar and snug area for drinks and dinner. You have the same menu options as you would in the restaurant- the lamb rump was excellent as was the sticky toffee pudding.

Carmarthen is one of the natures best preserved place on this planet. It’s very friendly for visitors and people of wales are very friendly and love to talk. Over all it’s great experience and good detox from the busy urban life.

Unfortunately we did not have time to visit Laugharne and LLanstephan on this trip but have enjoyed visiting these 2 locations in the past. The sandy beaches of Pembrokeshire and the Preseli hills are also well worth a visit.

Unfortunately town didnt have many interesting shops or facilities. Most places closed when we got there at 4pm on Tuesday. Not many restaurants either had to travel elsewhere to celebrate my birthday. Cane for show at the theatre. Probably wouldnt stay there for a holiday.

The town itself didn't have much to recommend it so far as we could see. However we didn't do much sightseeing in town so could have missed the best bits! Our trip was to visit the National Botanic Centre and that is certainly worth a look, and very easy to get to from Carmarthern.

Carmarthen itself I love, although there's been a lot of changes since I last came down 25 years ago(which is to be expected!). It's still an interesting town centre with a great variety of shops while still retaining a lot of its character and history through it's architecture and inhabitants. The Carmarthenshire countryside is stunning!
