At the base of the Strumble Head Peninsula, with its white-washed lighthouse guarding the Irish Sea, this cottage is a perfect small rural retreat just for two (along with a dog or two!). Warm, welcoming and comfortably furnished with beamed ceiling, a multi fuel stove to sit by and a mixture of modern and antique furniture the cottage is beside a private country lane in a row of five rural cottages, close to the pretty sleepy village of St Nicholas. A door from the sitting room opens out onto a small raised terrace with steps down to the secluded, enclosed private rear garden and patio- a sun trap. This is ideal walking country and there is access near to the cottage up to Ffyst Samson, a Neolithic burial chamber on a rocky plateau - fantastic panoramic views of the whole of St Davids Peninsula including Garn Fawr - the artist John Piper had his studio here in a traditional stone cottage. Shopping for groceries is available in nearby Goodwick, Fishguard, Square & Compass and Letterston - award winning fish and chip shop/restaurant here too.
