Beautiful area to stay despite the mixed weather.

Beautiful area to stay despite the mixed weather. Went for a few walks on the coastal pathways which had breathtaking views. Cardigan was 10 minutes away by car. Enjoyed a lovely lunch at Crwst. This is a must for anyone visiting the area. Great pasta lunch at Berlotti's. A fairly good variety of shops in Cardigan. We also visited Theatre Mwldan during our stay to watch the latest Poirot film.

Not a great deal in the town and much is shut early in the week including restaurants and bars but there are some gems. The Copper Pot serves excellent food and the welcome at the Black Lion Hotel could not be warmer.

Cardigan is a lovely little town next to a tidal river.

Cardigan is a lovely little town next to a tidal river. The castle dominates the town. It's a good place to see the region if you prefer to stay somewhere with amenities. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants. The shops aren't 'gift' shops,. There are plenty of good quality independents. It's a bit of a drive from most places, but worth the effort. Watch out for the one-way system. There is a large car park in town.

Cardigan castle was amazing and well worth a visit.

Cardigan castle was amazing and well worth a visit. Lovely shopping centre with plenty of eateries offering various types of cuisine. The ruins of an ancient monastery in St Donats was also interesting with an ancient Yew tree growing in the grounds.( several hundreds of years old) Beautiful beaches, scenery and sme spectacular views.

We travelled from London to attend a wedding in Ffarm in Cardigan and the venue was simply breath-taking, but entirely in keeping with the whole Cardigan experience... Highly recommend a trip as the bit of rain couldn't dampen the smiles and warm fuzzy feeling in the tummy!

Beautiful accommodation in a lovely home and rooms just outside of Cardigan. Wonderful fresh cut up fruit is served with your breakfast. Hostess was lovely and very accommodating. We needed an earlier breakfast in order to catch the Poppit Rocket bus to hike a stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The approximate mile long road approaching the lodging is a typical narrow country lane (with turnouts) that can be a little nerve wracking for those not accustomed to narrow roads. This establishment is well worth the drive down to it.

Travelling through South Wales so only stayed one night but would return and recommend. Hotel is exceptionally beautiful, what a treat to find this place. Our room was stunning and I could have lived in the spacious bathroom! The bed was so comfortable. Everything was clean and fresh. The view amazing, overlooking the gardens. Beautifully prepared breakfast and locally sourced food in the dining room listening to relaxing music. A perfect base to visit Cardigan and some of the amazing beaches which are unspoiled.

The entrance/reception is welcoming and had lovely decor, as is the newly opened bar. The lady at check in and working the bar was very nice and friendly and covered both areas on her own very well. Our room was modern, clean, comfortable and well equipped with hairdryer, toiletries, towels, TV and iron/board. The bed was also comfortable. Parking was not an issue for us - there are bays outside the hotel free for an hour and then unlimited from 6pm-8am, meaning you can park from 5pm-9am.

Everything was great, nice hotel and pleasant staff. Our room was nice and cozy, clean and enough space for the two of us. We had view of the car park, but we didn't upgrade to a sea view so we got what we paid for. Breakfast was included which was very tasty and many options to chose from. Location of the property was lovely, with a beautiful seaside walk just across the road.

The location is superb for town, yet was very quiet, even in the garden. The garden is lovely and has adequate privacy (great for yoga!). The cottage is very comfortable, relaxing and tastefully furnished. There was thorough information about the house, appliances, services and local area provided by the host in 2 well stocked files. Would definitely rebook.

We arrived around 8 pm and were still able to check in before the cut off time. Free parking for our car (although the parking area is tiny...I read there is a secondary lot in case the first one is full). Fully equipped kitchen. Our room was bare bones but clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom was also very clean. Nice hot water shower. Great price!

Good location central to the Town and a good base to visit the area. Car park accessed via gated entrance was narrow so care needed. Accommodation was within Castle grounds in annexe to main building. Room was large with en-suite just as large, overlooking Castle garden. Breakfast in Castle cafe, friendly staff with views to river or castle grounds.

Hotel was in a great location, a short walk from Cardigan high street. We are happy to walk quite a while, so not only did we take a walk to Mnwt Beach )a couple of hours) we also walked to a restaurant in St Dogmaels (took about 40 mins). It was easy to get everywhere from the guest house. host was very friendly as well.

Stayed at the Cliff Hotel because Gwbert Hotel was closed for renovation. However, the location of the hotel was superb, rooms were warm, clean and comfortable, with nice king size bed. Large bathroom, with plenty of towels and toiletries. Will go there again.

Location was great. Cardigan is a beautiful place and the town centre is within meters of the cottage which is perfect. The cottage has great potential if it wasn't for the cleanliness issue. It was very disappointing.
