Relax at this peaceful, newly refurbished place to stay. We have just converted one end of our home into a self contained, huge room with kitchenette and all essentials to make this a luxury experience. The Studio has its own front door, shower bathroom, super-king pocket spring bed that separates into two singles, a pull out bed, L shaped sofa, huge TV, dining table and desk for home working with great wifi. Private area with BBQ, table and sofa. Gym and tennis court by prior permission.
Our children now live in London so we decided to convert the playroom at one end of the house into a self contained studio. I work in London 3 days a week, and my husband is in Somerset most of the time now. We have two dogs and Jarek lives in the flat attached to our house. We used to let our flat in London out via Air BNB so I’m an experienced host. If we’re here we are happy to help. We have a tenant in a flat who is also very helpful if he is around.
Our house is very close (3minute walk) to the base of Cadbury Castle. The walk up there is breathtaking. We have a village pub called the Camelot which is a 3minute walk away and a church opposite the house. There are plenty of wonderful walks nearby including walking to a local pub, the Queens Arms in Corton Denham. We are close to The Newt (10minute drive) and its wonderful gardens and great food, to Castle Cary (10minute drive) Bruton (15minute drive) with the Hauser and Wirth Gallery and Osip and The Chapel restaurants. Haynes Motor Museum is a 5minute drive as is Teals Farm Shop and North Cadbury Stores. We are close to two train lines. Paddington goes to Castle Cary Station which is 10 minutes away. The Waterloo line goes to Templecombe or Sherborne station are also a 10 minute drive. Walks are wonderful. You can park in our drive. There are very few local buses so a car is recommended. There are plenty of local taxis and we include a list in our guest pack.
