A lovely cosy and comfortable cottage with lots of quirky features. We really enjoyed our weekend stay and the Welsh Cakes were very much appreciated. We were in Swansea for a swimming competition at the Wales National Pool which was an easy 25min drive, this was an ideal base.

Welcome to Old Road Cottage! A characterful, quirky, 19th Century cottage situated on the edge of Neath market town. Perfect central, location for those looking to explore South Wales. 5 minute walk from the doorstep, you can explore the wonderful nature reserve of Eaglesbush Valley or a short 10 minute walk into town to visit the Gnoll Country Park or Victoria Gardens. We are situated in an ideal location with plenty of local outdoor activities to choose from: MTB in Afan Forest Park; Kayaking/Canoeing; Surfing at Aberavon; Cycling along Neath Canal or visiting Margam Park. Enjoy the open-plan lounge, diner and kitchen living, with exposed stone work in the older part of the cottage. Eat at the breakfast bar whilst overlooking the courtyard garden and views of Drummau Mountain. Alternatively, you can griddle Welsh cakes on our large Range Master whilst still admiring the view. Choice of a powerful rainfall shower or a deep bath to finish your day. Large Basement can be used as storage but all possessions are left at guests own risk - does have separate key. Free street parking to the front or to the rear of the property (Rockfield Terrace). Self check-in with lockbox.
