A Beautifully quirky first floor apartment in a recently renovated Victorian townhouse. A real character property with sash windows, original features, high ceilings and modern underfloor heating. Located just 1 km from the centre of historic York, close to the leafy, green open space of the Knavesmire, and the renowned York racecourse. Parking is available on request - please enquire with my property management team when making your booking. Important: We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we've partnered with Know Your Guest, the leading vacation rental guest-screening provider. Please note that before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details and ID through Know Your Guest. You will also be given the choice between paying a refundable deposit or buying a non-refundable damage waiver. We suggest you buy the damage waiver as this protects you in case you cause accidental damage during a booking. We unfortunately are experiencing issues with the shower's hot water turning cold relatively quickly. The issue requires significant work to be done, including re-piping. We intend to do this in January. In the meantime, we would ask guests for their kind understanding. To mitigate the issue, we can suggest leaving the sink cold water running for full while using the shower. This will help. If however, you need a longer hot shower, we would suggest using the bath. There are plenty of local restaurants, independent shops and attractions nearby if you do not want to venture into the city centre. Local Restaurants Lo Spuntino is great for homely Italian food Jorvik Spice for Indian Delrio's Italian is located next to Micklegate Bar a five minute walk away. Micklegate Social is a relaxed coffee bar serving snacks and is open late. Hotel Du Vin is located almost opposite the flat, a two minute walk away and has a lovely bar area and restaurant. For brunch or a coffee check out the independent cafes and restaurants down Bishopthorpe Road. Local Attractions: Everyman Cinema is a two minute walk away on Blossom Street showing all the mainstream and Indie films. York Racecourse is a one minute walk away, excellent for blowing away the cobwebs if there is no racing on. Try the Henry VII Experience at Micklegate Bar and a walk on the famous walls. Supermarkets: There is a Sainsbury's Local two minutes walk away on Blossom Street which is open until late 7 days a week. Tesco Extra superstore is a five minute drive away located at Askham Bar, Dringhouses.
