The pilgrims rest has a cosy atmosphere. But the bath, the bath is a wonderful gift after hiking the gorge.

Relax with family/friends in this peaceful dwelling. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac walking distance from Gorge, pubs and coffee shops. Pilgrims Rest has 2 bedrooms and a separate annexe (Pilgrims Haven) that has its own double bed and shower room. For art lovers there is a Klimt bedroom as well as a music & art room. Star gazers will enjoy the summer house with its glass roof and sofa bed (categorised as a 4th bedroom, but cold in winter). Features include a trampoline , fire pit and pergola. Fab base to explore Somerset, Bath, Bristol, Weston & Burnham.

I am a Counsellor and Christian Holistic Therapist and Neil is a JCB driver and a writer...he has just published his first trilogy 'The Shadows of Imperfection'. We love travelling and the outdoors...and our delight is stumbling upon beautiful brooks or amazing art work. Music is our passion too...from classical to worship, as well as a bit of ACDC and Nirvana. We are currently on a new adventure touring the UK!
Cheddar is a lovely village in Somerset, famous for the beautiful Gorge and its Cheddar cheese! The village is great for children with its thriving leisure centre (which includes a swimming pool and a gym), Ocean Adventure play centre as well as a skate park and the Cheddar caves. For those adventurous ones- the Gorge is brilliant for climbers, hikers and cavers. Cyclists would enjoy the Somerset levels and Strawberry Line cycle path. For city lovers, Cheddar is only a 15 minute drive from Wells, 40 minutes from Bristol and an hour from the historic city of Bath. The beach resorts of Weston and Burnham are a short 20 minute drive away. Pilgrims Rest is perfectly situated for those who don't want to use their car, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, cafes and tourist attractions are all within easy walking distance. With so many beautiful walks and quaint coffeeshops...there's something for everyone. Families, couples or friends would enjoy this space to chill, explore, have fun and to rest.
