From arrival to departure everything was superb. Louise is a 'tour-de-force'! Her attention to detail is second to none from the stunning, luxurious decor and amenities to the fantastic home- cooked evening meal and scrumptious breakfast. Greg also went out of his way to make this a five-star stay!

We have relatives nearby which we were visiting hence our stay. Launceston is good in parts, not many pubs served food bit it was awash wit takeaways. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility as the town has steep hills. Tesco etc has killed all the small independents which used to be in the town

Good pubs, Red Lion in Trewint a must. Lovely town centre in Bude, can drive to Davidstowe and Boscastle, amongst other places. Heaps to do, stunning countryside for walks, definitely chocolate box. Typical Cornish town, recommend Francine’s fish and chips for fast efficient service with a smile. The roads are narrow and it can get congested in a car but if you’re on holiday patience is key, enjoy

We were a 20 minute drive from Launceston in beautiful countryside. We used Launceston for self catering shopping. There is a castle, church and narrow gauge steam railway, Launceston is well placed. Launceston, is a lovely town, with great views and lots of things to do. It has a lot of history to it and needs a few days to explore. There are also lots of places to stop in for a cup of coffee and something to eat

Although the restaurant has closed the staff took pity on me and provided a full meal. The car park was full, but the staff member on reception moved their own car in the pouring rain so I could get in. What brilliant customer service going above and beyond what I would have expected. I was completely frazzled by the car journey when I arrived but left with a definite spring in my step. My thanks to all staff members on duty 18-19th August

There is a small shop in the village of Polyphant but it you’re staying for a time you’d probably want to go to Tesco’s in Launceston. We had relatives near by so didn’t require a car, but if you’re traveling to the Shippon you’d probably want one. The Cornish countryside is exquisite and the views from our room didn’t disappoint.ToniCanada

The bunk beds in the family room were very well placed , sturdy and comfortable. A great overnight stay driving from Bristol and Surrey en-route to the south of Cornwall. Helpful staff, and a generous evening meal. We didn’t stay for breakfast but the options looked good. Would highly recommend. Thank you

Julie welcomed us with a smile and she advised us about the local road. It is about 2 hours from well famous destinations such as St. Ives, Fowey, and more. The room was so convenient and had a little fridge with some milk, wine, and refreshments. Ideally for couples and families. We definitely recommend it.

The lodges are located in a secluded area, with a working farm nearby, where dogs come to see you and are really friendly. The lodges are surrounded by wildlife and its really calming.
