Located in Shelley, near Hadliegh, tastefully restored Rose Barn is the perfect hideaway for a couple or family wanting to explore a bit of rural Suffolk and with the added feature of the use of an outdoor swimming pool.

Rose Barn is situated in the gently rolling Suffolk countryside. Besides the fantastic facilities at the Barn if you are looking for an active holiday the golf club in Stoke By Nayland has two championship courses to play on. There are also numerous footpaths and walks in the area which is part of the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you fancy cycling in the area you can hire a bike from Outdoor Hire Centre. The beautiful countryside inspired three famous painters – Gainsborough, Constable and Munnings. You can visit the areas associated with them to explore further the influence that the countryside had on them. Flatford Mill and The Munnings Museum are located within Dedham Vale and Gainsborough’s House is in Sudbury. Further afield there are a number of fun days out for younger visitors. Jimmy’s Farm at Wherstead just outside Ipswich hosts a working farm where you can meet and greet the animals along with a wildlife park and adventure play area. If you fancy experiencing a bit of history head to Kentwell Hall, Long Melford where you can head back to Tudor times to find out what it was like living and working on a large estate. The area has so much to offer but at the end of a busy day you can head back to the peace and quiet at Rose Barn. Either cosy up in front of the fire or relax by the pool.
