After a difficult year, we decided to splash out on a memorable holiday with our family. We spent an idyllic week at Somerleyton celebrating our Golden Wedding anniversary with our two sons, daughter-in-law and two young grandchildren. The location is a perfect base for local sightseeing and exploring the coast and has the advantage of several pleasant pubs nearby for eating out. The house is gorgeous; spacious, comfortable and welcoming; every room sympathetically maintained with lovely decor throughout, complimentary to the building’s Georgian history. It is admirably well-equipped with everything necessary, plus much more, for a perfect stay. The young ones were enthralled to discover a store of games, a pool table, a tree swing & a croquet lawn already set up! The weather was kind at the end of August, so we were able to make good use of the beautiful outdoor areas. We cannot recommend this lovely house highly enough; thank you, Stuart and Amanda.

Stunning Georgian property including luxury Shepherds Hut and Hot Tub. Surrounded by farmland in a rural location overlooking the Waveney Valley and just a stone's throw from the beautiful village of Somerleyton with its magnificent hall. Sleeps 10 guests and is ideal for larger families or groups looking to explore the best that the Norfolk Broads and Suffolk Heritage Coast has to offer or to simply spend some quality time together in a peaceful and private location. Please note that 4 bedrooms are in the main house ( Sleeps 8 ). The other bedroom is in the Shepherds Hut ( Sleeps 2 ).
Friendly and easy going. My wife and I enjoy travelling to new places and meeting new faces. We also love welcoming guests to our own boutique holiday accommodation in Suffolk, UK. We will be there to check you in but will not be on site during your stay other than an occasional visit for garden maintenance. We can be contacted if required.
Set in the heart of the Norfolk Broads overlooking the Waveney Valley and stones throw from the beautiful Somerleyton Hall with its equally beautiful village. There are lots of fabulous walks and cycle rides and we are just 5 miles to the coast. Lovely local pubs such as the famous Dukes Head are close to hand. While the market town of Beccles with its boutique shops, cafés and Lido is 10 minutes away. Lots of local NT houses, gardens and family attractions to visit in the area. Numerous walks and cycle rides. Broads boat hire at St.Olaves just down the road if you fancy messing about on the water. Somerleyton Station is around the corner which runs between Norwich and Great Yarmouth. Plenty of parking on private driveway area.
