St James House is a beautiful Church Conversion built in 1888 which has all its original features, including exposed beams, the original church doors and stained glass windows. This unique adult only accommodation is perfect for a couple or four people looking for a lovely peaceful retreat. Large Private gated parking area, ample for 3-4 cars. There is a drive going up to the house, the minimum width is 11foot just in case you are driving a large vehicle. Walk in the front door formally the vestry, which leads you into the kitchen, alter and lounge/dining area. The beautiful kitchen has been fitted with every appliance you would need including a Tassimo Coffee machine and Pods, a welcome basket with some nibbles and wine for you to enjoy. The light-filled breakfast area on the alter is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy breakfast. The ground floor has a bright open-plan lounge with comfy seating, dining area, smart TV with Netflix. Books and Boardgames. The stunning stain-glassed windows casting light throughout with underfloor heating upstairs and downstairs. A beautiful wooden staircase leads up to two bedrooms, one king sized bed in the mezzanine bedroom, the bed is positioned just below the stained-glass Angel window, the smaller second bedroom measures 10ft by 9ft and has a Small double bed, storage and clothes rail. Along the corridor upstairs is the main bathroom with a built in shower over a bath and downstairs there is a walk-in shower, toilet and handbasin. The enclosed large grass garden includes a patio area with ample garden seating, BBQ and fire pit, boules and badminton, there is a Lockable shed for your bikes should you wish to bring them. Dogs welcome upon request, no more than two well behaved furry friends.

A few minutes’ walk from St James House is a local village shop, fish and chip shop and hairdressers. There are 2 local pubs/restaurants within walking distance, The Godwin and The Crown and Anchor and one outstanding restaurant, Carriages close by, there are lots more recommendations in the welcome book in St James House. If you decide to venture outside at any point, you will find the house is very well situated for you to enjoy walking, cycling, kayaking, shopping, sightseeing or just relaxing in the garden. Hereford offers some outstanding country walks, all within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Brecon Beacons, Hay-On-Wye, Symonds Yat, Goodrich Castle and many more. Take a short drive to the Wye River for fun on the river or to the City of Hereford to view Hereford Cathedral containing the map of Mundi and enjoy a coffee or beer in De Koffie Pot with pretty views of the River Wye. I also highly recommend and an absolute must to taste our famous Herefordshire beef.
