Stable Cottage is a distinctive, reverse-living, Cotswold stone barn that started its life in 1825 as the stables to the nearby manor house. This semi-detached cottage has retained much of its rural Georgian character, including the original, exposed-timber A-frame in the open-plan living-dining-kitchen area. The cottage sleeps up to five guests across three bedrooms and is in a beautifully tranquil and rural spot in the Painswick Valley, near Painswick, Stroud, Cirencester and Cheltenham. Guests have a private garden and additional lawn, as we well as use of a fabulous all-weather tennis court. Book with us to get exclusive discounts to top attractions and experiences. One well-behaved dog welcome for an additional fee. Sleeps 4 (+1) in 3 bedrooms (on lower ground floor): one king-size bedroom, 1 single bedroom and 1 bunkbed room (suitable for 1 adult (plus child) or 2 children but not 2 adults)

This rural retreat is in a tranquil and secluded location in the Painswick Valley surrounded by acres of meadows, farmland and woodland and within walking distance of two excellent country pubs and Painswick Beacon. The heart of the village of Painswick, known as the Queen of the Cotswolds for its beautiful Grade II listed buildings, is only two and a half miles away, while Painswick Rococo Gardens is just under three miles across the valley. The two long distance paths (LDPs) - the Wysis Way and the Cotswold Way pass through Painswick, making this an ideal spot for The cottage is in easy driving distance of Stroud Farmers’ Market, Miserden, Gloucester Cathedral, Cirencester – the Capital of the Cotswolds, and Cheltenham.
