A really cozy, warm character cottage with snuggly sofas in the lounge/diner and a practical kitchen. The bedrooms and huge bathroom are lovely, with comfortable beds and soft fluffy towels. Because of the age of the cottage, there are fewer power sockets than modern properties, so it may help to pack an extension lead or adaptor. The location is excellent, in the heart of old Conisbrough, close to the castle and viaduct, but just 10 minutes from the A1(M) and 20 minutes from Doncaster. Buses pass close by and Conisbrough has a mainline station. Parking is at the kerb outside, but we always found a space nearby. A short walk away, there's a supermarket, takeaways, fish and chip shop, pharmacy, pubs and more. Tara, our host, was really friendly and very quick to respond to our queries. There is a lot to like about this cottage, and we hope to come back again!

Sugar Plum Cottage is a 2 bed stone cottage and dates back to 1812. You’ll find exposed beams in the bedrooms and a free standing bath and walk in shower in our bathroom. These features add to a unique stay and a feeling of cosiness within the cottage. The cottage has an enclosed garden with both a decking and patio area.
Set within the village of Conisbrough, the cottage is a very short walk away from Conisbrough Castle and the oldest church in South Yorkshire, St Peter’s. The cottage is situated in the heart of the village and in just a short distance away you’ll find shops, a chemist, take aways, pubs, bars restaurants, hairdressers, beauticians etc.
