Tawleat is a 3 double BR Grade II listed thatched cottage in the village of Sticklepath, within Dartmoor National Park. Built in the 1770s, it has modern amenities while retaining its periodic charm. There is a large formal self enclosed rear garden, and a meadow to the rear of the property accessed by crossing a foot bridge over the river Taw. You have approximately an acre for your use only. Access to the moor is through the meadow, and the house is within 50 m of the village pubs & shop. 3 double bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, the other with 2 single beds each. One bathroom with loo upstairs, downstairs, outside loo with a separate shower in the laundry, which is also outside the house. There is separate heating for both bathrooms
I like walking, gardening and surfing, under an hour away. I enjoy communicating with the guests and sharing a beautiful old cottage with them that is also our family home.
Within the Dartmoor National Park, a traditional English village with 2 pubs, and a village shop. Other villages close by (South Zeal and Belstone) also with pubs and shop (SZ) as well as there own charm. Walking on Dart moor is out my back door.
