The view! outlook over countryside from front of property, sounds of wildlife. size and space in the property, lovely bathrooms, comfortable beds, the quiet at night. no traffic, apart from the few neighbours and an occasional tractor Family run Working farm with fishing lakes. lovely atmosphere, easy going laid back hosts, Able to contact if any questions . I asked about chairs for outside seating as the weather was lovely and unexpected, within 15 mins chairs were brought round.

The Barton is a homely and comfortable wing of a farmhouse on a working farm near the Devon town of Bideford. The house sleeps 8 people and has one double bedroom, one double with two additional single beds, a twin room, a family bathroom and family shower room. There is also an open plan sitting and dining area and a kitchen. Outside there are shared facilities: play area, lakes, gardens and parking in the lane for two cars. An adventure on a working farm, The Barton is ideal for those who want an outdoor family holiday. Note: Lakes on site, children must be supervised. Livestock on site, dogs on leads please. Note: Sleeps a maximum of 8 people including children.

Neighborhood info

Straddling the Torridge estuary, the quaint bustling town of Bideford boasts a medieval bridge, town quay, quaint pannier market and vibrant shopping area - all well worth a visit. For the more active, several major surfing beaches, golf courses, theme parks and other attractions are nearby and the South West coast path passes close by on its way into Cornwall. The beautiful cliff-top fishing village of Clovelly is half an hour by road, and the delights of Exmoor and Dartmoor can be reached in under an hour. Surf the waves, stroll through pretty villages, wander along the Tarka Trail, visit a famous garden or have some fun at one of the local theme or farm parks – it’s all on the doorstep.
