The Red Barn, definitely worth a visit. Get yourself an ice cream from the High Street, absolutely delicious! Adventure golf good fun for all ages. Have a go at pitch and putt, too! If you can afford to stay at The Woolacombe Bay Hotel, do it!!! It’s a must!
Sandy beach popular with belly board surfers and swimmers who like the waves, but I would avoid the area in July / August as it's very crowded and car parks and road parking near by, if you are travelling with a family, are full all the time. If you can and it is difficult when you've got kids, visit out of the main season.
Stayed with the family for one night for my brother's wedding in woolacoombe & would honestly not go back. The room was horrible & in serious need of updating. The sink was cracked straight through in the bathroom probably due to the bathroom door opening against it every time anyone entered the room!?!Old carpet over layed over an even older carpet. The breakfast was good as was the location but hard to find any real positives but was a means to an end. Reasonable value for money but not recommended for stays of more than a night in our opinion. 2 out of 5.
Fabulous beach. Great food and drink available by the beach and wetsuits for hire, all reasonably priced. Try the curry on the beach at Barricane cove, you will not be disappointed. Lots of attractions within driving distance. Perfect family holiday. We keep returning!
