Lovely, peaceful setting. A well equipped cottage, although we did get the feeling that someone lived there when empty as the pantry was full of cooking condiments and the washing machine had wet washing inside..? We made use of some of the contents of the pantry though. Very modern kitchen and bathroom, comfortable bed and a comfortable lounge area with a TV. The garden/patio area was secure for pooches but only a small area. There is a nice paddock a short stroll away which leads to a nice old church. All in all we really enjoyed this little place and would visit again.

A peaceful and tranquil self contained cottage to escape to, within 5 acres with fields to roam and direct access to beautiful local walks and tourist attractions or areas of natural beauty.
The owner, Iain, is a well travelled man with a long career in property and he resides onsite should you need anything to help further enjoy your stay, however the aim is to offer ultimate relaxation so guests will be left alone if they choose.
West Pennard is a wonderfully tranquil spot even when Glastonbury Festival is in full swing! A spectacular rural setting in beautiful countryside which sets the scene for for long off-road walks or popular cycle routes throughout the Mendips and Somerset Levels. An ideal location for all to enjoy, whether your visit is a romantic break away, fun with family or friends, or a relaxing solitary chill. One of Somerset's finest Gastro pubs, The Lion is in the village and just five minutes walk from The Old Cider House Estate, or in the neighbouring village of North Wootton you have the award-winning Crossways Inn boasting a delicious A La Carte menu. Just 2 miles from historical Glastonbury, home to the stunning Abbey and gardens, Chalice Well and Tor for breathtaking panoramic views, and a unique high street of alternative, quirky shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Also a short drive away you will find The City of Wells, home to the impressive Cathedral, Bishops Palace, moat and gardens, the desirable town of Bruton, Cheddar, Street, and slightly further afield the cities of Bath and Bristol.
