Although a little remote it was a fabulous location with spectacular views. The hosts were most obliging. Facitlites we’re ideal for our family, four adults and two kids under 10. Very large and spacious. We would to come back again.

The Old Mill is a result of careful planning and hard work from the owners to create a spacious home with charming architectural features; the exposed timbers and brickwork of the vast open plan kitchen/ dining area is an example of this. Three bedrooms host one ground floor double with en suite shower, basin and WC, one double and one twin. There is also one ground floor bathroom with bath, shower over basin and WC. After a day of exploring, you can sit out on the glass-fronted balcony overlooking the courtyard and grassed areas, a tranquil place to unwind. A lake is adjacent to the property and guests are welcome to walk by it and guests are welcome to explore it from The Old Mill. *****PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO FISHING AVAILABLE FOR THE WEEK OF 2ND OCTOBER 2020 TO ALLOW FOR MAINTENANCE TO THE LAKE*****Note: Children must be supervised at all times by the lake.

Flaxley is a tiny hamlet close to the Forest of Dean, with local shops, pubs and restaurants, Newnham On Severn is only four miles away. From there you’ll find excellent views of the river and immediate access across the fields to the Severn Way footpath.
