There’s so much to discover right from your doorstep, including one of England’s finest medieval castles, Raby Castle. As well as visiting the castle itself, visitors can walk among deer in the vast grounds of the estate which also features The Plotters Forest, a children’s woodland hideaway). We’re sure you’ll fall in love with Staindrop and the surrounding area, with the historic Barnard Castle only a 5 minute drive away, High Force Waterfall, one of England’s most spectacular waterfalls and some of the best countryside you’ll be spoilt for choice of things to do during your stay. You can find lots of information about things to do and places to go while you’re here in the property information pack and from the leaflets in the sitting room.
