Go up onto the transporter bridge using the new panoramic lift Southfield Road pedestrian area is good for bars The Pharmacy on Corporation Road is a good restaurant quirky interior and good value food The area around Middlehaven is starting to become an area to look around. A visit to the football ground is worth taking in Some areas on an evening are a bit rough notably around the Town Centre and Linthorpe Road The best way around town is to walk
Lovely countryside nearby - N Yorks Moors National Park and attractive villages. See the Transporter Bridge near the Riverside Stadium (Middlesbrough FC) and visit Captain Cook Birthplace Museum in Stewart's Park on the outskirts.
Lots of new quirky bars have popped up since my last visit, our group of friends was booked in the Nuthatch with fab cockktails. Plenty of good restaurants - I would recommend the Oven. Decent shopping too.
We were in Middlesbrough for birthday celebrations with family and loved the choice of restaurants and bars available, although we only had the one night and it was busy due to the football supporters it was easy to get from place to place and transport was excellent.
Much effort made to improve and maintain all basic as well as leisure amenities. Impressive range of eateries and independent shops in and around the main high street area. Good proximity to the scenic North York Moor National Park and picturesque coastal towns of Saltburn and Whitby.
Enjoyed the city and its people Sad to see so many business closed because of so many factories closed Transportation in and around town was easy. Like the malls in the area Plenty of places to eat nearyby

We arrived around 11pm on Friday night and the pub was very "lively", which made us worry about whether we'd manage to sleep, but the room was surprisingly very quiet! Very friendly staff, very quiet, clean, spacious and comfy room. Nice bed, cozy blanket and pillows, nice towels, powerful and hot shower, all the essential boxes were ticked! And there's a pub in the hotel. Excellent value for money.

Clean, spacious, nice views and a great location, with all the facilities we needed including wifi, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher etc.
