Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located home base for Somerset. The Annex is part of The Old Posthouse , built circa 1640 and is found just on the edge of an AONB at Lower Weare in Axbridge providing some fantastic walks from the front door . Local pubs are within walking distance , The Lamb, The New Inn and The White Hart all within a mile and more in Axbridge Medieval Square one and a half miles away!! Courtyard sees the last sun of the day just in time to relax.
We live next door however we do respect your privacy whilst staying . We are on hand usually for any assistance and if not , a telephone number is provided for assistance. We have lived here for over 17 years and enjoy living in the countryside and everything that comes with it, even the road we live along!! Whilst this is a very busy road at times , we accept it and consider our home as a comfortable country bolthole with easy access to everywhere and we would hope you feel the same when staying. Somerset has so much to offer and the surrounding countryside is breathtaking, so to be able to provide accommodation with easy links for others to enjoy is great.
Great local walks from front door and views of Crook Peak (trees permitting!) . We are situated on the main A38 and whilst this road provides a great base and easy access for siteseeing around Somerset and beyond it can be very busy at times and so we would want you to be aware of this before booking. Being situated on the A38 The Annex provides a great base for a sightseeing holiday in Somerset and has great links to Bristol Airport, Bristol, Bath, Weston Super Mare , Wells, Cheddar, Axbridge, Glastonbury, Street and much more.
