All the staff that we met were friendly and made you feel safe during these unusual times (covid) and very welcome. The breakfast was tasty and served in a timely manner by friendly staff. We booked an evening meal on the second night and the food was excellent, tasty and good value for the price. The staff in the bar & restaurant area were also friendly and efficient. There was plenty of places to walk our dog and he was very welcome in most places on the estate. The room was clean and airy with adequate facilities in it.

Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Saddle Room offers both room accommodations and stone-built cottages, next door to The Forbidden Corner within the grounds of Tupgill Park. Free WiFi is available in the cottages, as well as the bed and breakfast rooms. The charming cottages at The Saddle Room feature a living area with a TV and a fully fitted kitchen with a microwave and an oven. The bathrooms include a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. The Twin and Double rooms are located next to The Saddle Room restaurant, which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Booking in advance is recommended. Guests can enjoy exploring the Forbidden Corner’s 4-acres of gardens, which are home to a labyrinth of tunnels, follies, and chambers. ** Pre-booking is essential** In the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, The Saddle Room is just 40 minutes’ drive from Ripon Races and 17 miles from Wensleydale Creamery. Please note that a nonrefundable £50 deposit per night per accommodations will be taken upon booking and only then will your booking be confirmed.
