Lovely garden at the back of property. Food was really good and the stay was good value for money. Enjoyed the observatory experience behind the hotel, despite the cloud
Located within the heart of the newly appointed Dark Sky Park, the Hollybush Inn is just 7 miles from Kielder Water. The Hollybush Inn offers stylish rooms and a contemporary self-contained apartment....

Dinner menu was modestly priced , as it should be the food was only modest. We do not eat cooked breakfast and I can only say the continental option was aweful.
This hotel is seems mainly to be used by groups of hikers whom I assume get special rates. It also seems to be aiming to be a wedding venue, cricket club and an outdoor beer garden. Certainly not a upmarket hotel.
It is however in a stunning location.

This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure.
This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure. I sometimes travel through on my way to work in Kielder and around Northumberland so have never got to experience the town proper. Some great places to eat including the Fountain Cottage and Happy Valley and cute local shops such as Olive and Myrtle and Natural Northumberland. Recently our friends opened their brewery at the old ambulance station, F&L (First & Last) which also has a tap room opened 09.12.2022 - this addition to the town and previous positive visits will ensure my return for both work and leisure

A few good places to eat out, even for coeliacs.
Co-op grocery store and some very nice little gift shops.
Visitor centre was very interesting.
Great location for visiting Kielder Observatory, Kielder Water, Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman Forts, Hadrian's Wall and Hexham - 30 mins from them all by car.
Everyone I met in the village and surrounding area was very helpful and friendly too.

Whilst technically a village, Bellingham punches well above...
Whilst technically a village, Bellingham punches well above the weight of its size - being the obvious local focus for a wide rural area. It is well provided for in terms of shops (including specialist butcher, bakers etc.) and plenty for tourists. It has multiple pubs, a couple of which (the Cheviot and Riverdale Hall) I can recommend from personal experience. Local beers were on hand pump and of high standard. The walking (particularly the Pennine Way) is of an excellent and picturesque quality.
The cottage has recently had a top quality refurbishment and everything is tip top!..bathroom has an enormous spa bath (fab) and a shower, 2 large bedrooms, very comfortable good sized and attractive lounge and a fully fitted kitchen, lovely garden to front overlooking fields, pics on Booking.com do not do it justice, Bellingham is a lovely village with several pubs, cafe's and shops..Hadrians wall 25 min drive away and many walks from the door, hosts were lovely and helpful, what a find..we loved it
Very peaceful location , right next to the beautiful walk to the waterfall. A few minutes walk into Bellingham which has small shops selling local produce and places to eat. The accommodation was lovely . Private courtyard with hot tub and small BBQ (bring your own coals etc ). Good cooking facilities inside . The bed was comfortable but not ideal if you are very tall. Everything was spotless. Allocated parking spot outside. No complaints, just sad to leave. Would highly recommend.
We travelled from Ireland for a family wedding that was held at the Petite Chateau in Otterburn. There were 12 of us and we had alll 6 of the guest rooms, no complaintss at all about the accommodation, it was clean, comfortable, and quiet with lovely views and nice seating area outside. Only sorry we hadn't booked more time to get to explore Bellingham and surrounding area as our one full day was spent at the wedding. We were also lucky to have fabulous weather.
The lodges are 0.5 mile from Bellingham, surrounded in hills and farmland. Very quiet and relaxing. The owners met us and we’re extremely friendly and helpful. Provided us with a cot / high chair with no extra cost.
For what we paid we got more then what we wanted.
Large spacious lodge with a cosy atmosphere in a beautiful setting. Plenty of amenities and great parking.
It was perfect value for money We will 100% be back!
The staff were lovely and attentive, the room was comfortable and clean, great shower. The location is fab, right in the centre of Bellingham, with a few pubs nearby and a little shop across the road. We also ate in the cafe on the Saturday night and the food was really nice for the price. Breakfast was also great.
The cottage was lovely and so different. The decor is amazing! There is no other word but quirky. I want to say more but I won't! As you have to see it for yourselves!
It was very comfortable & being a little way out of Bellingham it was quite. The facilities were also great.
The house is very spacious and very comfortable!! The owners have done a fantastic job of supplying everything you could ever need!. Bellingham itself is a really interesting village and the local people were welcoming and helpful!
Beautiful setting with lovely walks nearby. The whole area is so peaceful, waking up to just the sound of birds and sheep was perfect for us.
Bellingham itself had a shop and a few pubs which is all that we needed
Friendly hosts
