The Snug is a perfect retreat. A few minutes walk from the South Downs National Park, close to Lewes with its historic landmarks, pubs, independent shops, castle, river Ouse, restaurants, cafes and famous Harvey's brewery. We are close to Sussex Uni and Brighton is only a 12 minute car ride away, making The Snug a great location for sight seeing, culture, beaches and walking. Brighton and Hove's AMEX football stadium is within walking distance. Excellent public transport links from The Snug. The Snug is a self contained cottage annex to our Victorian Farmhouse. It is a private gated space with its own entrance. Cosy and homely and has been recently renovated sympathetically to keep as many original features as possible. Most furniture has been reclaimed or purchased locally. Rooms offer a space to relax and unwind, with luxury pure wool quilts, cotton bedding, wool rugs and comfortable throws for and added touch of luxury. Appliances, furniture, soft furnishings are eco friendly and sustainable where at possible, this is really important to us at The Snug. All cleaning products and personal hygiene products that we supply are kind to the environment.
I am always available before and throughout the guest stay and contactable by phone/text. We adore having guests to stay in our cottage, we always provide welcome touches that we keep secret until you arrive ! We are very proud of The Snug at Littledown, its gorgeous and we hope you love it too.
The property is located on the slip road close to the A27. Fantastic links to Lewes, Brighton and South Downs National Park is a 5 min walk away. As we are close to the A27 you will hear road noise when outside in the garden. Parking There is space on the driveway for guest parking. Bus Routes There are bus stops on both sides of the A27 right outside of The Snug. From these stops, you can catch buses on the Regency Route (28 and 29) which can get you to Brighton and Lewes. Train Station Lewes train station is the nearest (2.9 miles), with direct routes to Brighton, London and Gatwick Airport.
